Hello,

i recently opened a new amazon acc in france. it is asking me for additinal information.

i was asked to submit:
Primary Contact Person Information
option were

Passport
EU Card
UK Driving License
Italian ID Card

when I select UK driving license it dont request any more info however when I select the others it asked me for the full details.

I was also asked to submit bank account details.

I am not a large seller on amazon. 1 account usually last me a few months however I never had 1 like this before.


Basically unless I submit these details and they are validated I can trade on amazon.

I receved the below notice.

Is this a new procdure on amazon to open accounts? is there away around this?

The account I opened is amazon france.

This original post is over 6 months old. I am sure if was a general issue a lot more people would have posted. However strange that amazon.fr reply in English, all my replies from EU sites are in the home language.

this is the same on all the new accounts, by the way this account was deleted .. initially the bank added was made up with an incorrect sort code and account number. So I got email every time they try to send fundds to the bank. and it bounced

after 90 days they asked for bank account where they will deposit micro payments, this was done and figures were sent back to amazon, they asked for id so i sent a driving license.. very good license very professional. i sent amazon payment system email and a few days later account was deleted...

Doubt it was just the ID issue if the account was deleted...instead of just suspended
