Tax ID provided and pending
 

I created an Amazon account a while ago and have provided tax ID when I signed up with the pro merchant account. It has been over a month now and I still see it say tax ID provided and pending. Is there anything I should be worried about or should I just keep selling?

It took a very long time for my legit tax ID to finally show verified (months).

I would just keep selling. If there is a problem, Amazon will let you know.

Soon as amazon perceive a problem, they tell you.

If you are clear still and selling, go on doing that.

We have been advised that tax info can take time to come thro'.

Have you checked with the IRS at all?

Thanks for your replies. I will just continue selling as everything seems fine so far.

It is true that if Amazon has an issue, your account goes down pretty quickly.

Take the time to peruse through the IRS website

If this is a manual process, they could be under-staffed. This is the time of year selling starts to pick up and they might not be staffed. Support emails are taking 2-3 days for a reponsed for me lately, normally they take less then 24hours. When I updated my tax info last month it took about 3-4 weeks.

In last 1 month I have seen going Tax Id from pending to Verified within 24 hours.

But yes it does take some times usually, also if there is a problem with Tax ID, they will ask you to reenter Tax ID within 10 days. You will see notice on the top on your sellers account when you login.. so you wont miss it....

dont worry about Pending ..
