Bluebird and Mismatched name versus Company name

I have a new stealth account that needs bank info and I'm getting ready to use Bluebird with mismatched names. After searching th forum some say it works and some say it doesn't. Has anyone recently received a deposit with Bluebird and mismatched name?

If Bluebird keeps my money because of mismatched name and requires ID to get it, can I just go get a DBA under that exact name?

Re: Bluebird Amex

You can use BlueBird as a credit card to open up a stealth account, but from what I understand, it doesn't really work as a reliable deposit method. Because you have to actually register with bluebird and that requires your SSN, and thus your actual name. This is my experience with them as I use Bluebird every time as CC verification. Someone else will chime in if I'm fuzzy on anything.

If it requires real info how can you use it for stealth cc? Anyways I use Vanilla Visas for that

That's right. To give a little more detail on that, they give you a starter card that you can basically use as any gift card. You can call them up on the phone and give them a name to be associated with the card, but beyond that you have to create a log in on their website and register your information at the same time. This is where they ask you for your SSN, no option for EIN in case you're wondering. Only after completing this process can you log into your card details, see your balance, make withdrawls, deposits, transfers, etc.

No good for depositing. Already been discussed and failed.

Seems like most things by Amex are problematic.

I have messages a few people that have told me the mismatched name is working well for them. I guess it is hit or miss.

Instead of using a completely different name I was wondering if it would be a good idea to use the company name instead? This way my name would be hidden by Amazon and if Bluebird said they need proof of company name I could have it and get me money.

Mismatched name versus Company name

Is there any difference between a completely mismatched name compared to giving a company name?

If the bank ever manually reviewed your bank account and they see a mismatched name and they held your money, you could form a DBA to get your money. However, I believe you can only have one DBA?

Wouldn't it be better to use a company name and then if there were problems just form an LLC and show proof that you own that company?

I'm getting ready to use Bluebird Amex on my new stealth account and I thought it might be the best way to go to protect my money from being held

thoughts

Don't duplicate questions..

Merged everything to be nice and tidy

Thanks

My main question is it better to use a company name rather than a mismatched name. I'm asking this question in general, not just about BlueBrid card

I'm going to take a swing at this question and say yes. If they ever have any questions as to why youre receiving payments in the name of "I sell used tissues" you can tell them that you sell used tissues and it might fly and they'll give you pass and chalk it up to KYC regulations.

Sounds better than "I'm really not a terrorist I'm just receving payments in 10 different people's names. Really, no need to call Homeland Security. Promise."

Never had any experience with this because I've never been put in this position before, but I might start doing this in the future.

Thanks for making my practices a little bit better.

I think the worst they would do is make you open a business account with them and provide proof of business articles. You could get an LLC in just a few days.

I like your logic.

I am a business for everything....

I do that for a layer of protection from old suspended names ever going near an account.

It is how I control what info is shown to amazon ( & ebay/paypal).

The bluebird card works for me for deposits. Names dont match. Never had any problems with it. I have been one of the very early testers for it.
