Will my amazon account get banned or not?
 

Hello,

Recently i received the mail telling you got so many returns, blabla... Account might be closed (if more returns?) blabla... I can still buy on amazon. However i noticed my account is restricted in some ways, and apparently the rep @phone can't answer anything cause "they can't see" the orders in my account..?! Kind of refusing calls.

Yet they told me ok to return an article (wasn't as it was announced AT ALL, i sent them pics, but they didn't comment/said they got them). They kept (willingly) giving fuzzy answers and finally said there's nothing more to add. So i'm kind of afraid this is a trap and returning that item would lead to the account death. If i return it, then it should be tomorrow since much time passed.

Hope some people here could tell me how they see it, give advices... I thought the best to do was to leave this account and open another one. Recently did quite many returns yes, but it was the result of either defective on arrival and/or poor packaging; didn't abuse this at all, so i feel quite angry they give me this. I have proof (video) for all the last items but as you probably know/saw, they do not listen/care.

And when you mentioned the returns, was it YOU returning items you bought, or was it your buyers returning items you sold?

Sounds messy - if a lot of unsatisfied customers, you will likely be banned sooner or later

Too many returns as a buyer would give problems - it's a bad pattern (even if not the buyer's fault)...looks suspicious

I think it's his own returns to amazon he is referring to.

I have seen this situation before.

1. If your buyer account is banned your seller account goes with it (its not the other way around).

2. If you reach over 50% return rate for few months, they do ban accounts...
(The have a complex method to figure how profitably this customer is)

Suggestion : buy 2-3 items every month for next 6-9 month... Do not return any thing even if there is a problem.

amazon may say returns are allowed.

They do not like too many.

Buy only small items that do not cost very much. Avoid making any returns for some months.

Have you had other amazon accounts?

Do you know how to be stealth?

Thanks for the answer, I thought some people may have went through this and would have a story to tell.. Questions are :

1/ Ability to safely create a new account (different name/credit card, yet they were registred on that account before)?
2/ Ability to return the mentionned item since they allowed me or is it a trap? Knowing that item is really "wrong", & proof sent.

You have no idea how this crap made me worried first, then angry. Amazon might be great, appears it can turn evil anyday. What make me worried even more than a possible suspension is one of the last expensive item i bought (which by the way appears to have started all this) :

It cannot be returned directly to manufacturer and in the case this account would be suspended, i'd REALLY like to know how does it works for all warranty in this case? If it's gonna be help, i'd rather return it : I'm not sure if being "amazon able" should cost you that much..?

The idea is that the next return would cause the account closure. They tell me they agree for me to return it, yet the system would then kick me. And for the new account, i wasn't talking about stealth. I mean, it's allowed to have multiple amazon account, if not registred under same person name..

So don't use it for another 'return' - avoid that possibility...

You cannot have multiple amazon account under the same name but...yes other different names AND UNLINKED.

They offer either that, either partial refund. The original mail complain about return/refund, it's same thing in fact... It's a very small item. They made me angry already and not being able to use my rights makes it unbearable. If anyone knows about the warranty, please let me know. Thanks!

The actual warranty is part of the issue.

amazon also has rules where they expect buyers to not make a lot of returns.

When you make a purchase are you looking at the seller's feedback?

How much are you buying and what was the return ratio?

Maybe the OP is one of those pain in the yarse buyers that likes to file claims months outside the warranty. Just sayin

you have to be a real pain to have amazon on your a$$ about returns. I mean seriously its either you buy stuff like old ppl or ppl who watch those stupid informercials and then realize wth did i buy this for or you are buying a returning for fun. You do realize that returning cost money and it NOT good for either party.

Hmm well i guess i should've expected such comment. So i'll answer both of you : Kelly441, are you saying some people ask for a return AFTER the warranty ended (so generally, after a year)? Well, i didn't even know that was possible, and i never ever asked that anywhere :lol: The article i mentionned (only one, so no other choice) is known to be weak and there're high chance it'll blow during the warranty year.

That is why i asked, in the event they decide to lock my account, will it be a pain to apply warranty (since as said, manufacturer won't take it directly). Gamefreak, i made lot of research and it appears that many people received that email in august, people who got it told me there were angry too and they showed it to amazon, which replied "sorry" so hmm.. Not sure about that.

Maybe i should have shouted first and they'd leave me alone. Generally i buy only items shipped by amazon. As said, the last orders i got all had a problem, A REAL ONE, not like a small scratch or such... As said also, i have video/photo proof for each of them. Adding to that the fact that i'm EXTREMELY cautious with everything, all returns were AS RECEIVED. Not even a fingerprint.

Amazon simply reacts when buyers have too many returns EVEN if the buyer has proof of faults.

Their decisions are often difficult to follow.

Since this is their game, buyers & sellers need to play correctly to survive.

Yeah i totally agree, their decisions are just made by robots, so is ebay. Knowing that, people should wait some time before making such statements... Anyway, back to the warranty, i still don't know if i get banned how the warranty of the item i bought will be(come)?

You have rights under Consumer laws of your own country.

Warranty is not controlled by Amazon - that is the manufacturer duty WITH proof of purchase (which you have). So you have to go to the source of the items....
