If this sounds stupid I apologise in advance

If I open a stealth account with a new laptop but using the same modem/router (different IP - it's BT) will it get linked?

No, you'll be fine. Just remember to log ip's.

Get the amazon ghost from aspkin. It cover most of the basic stealth/ghost guide and it worth every penny out of the book.

By the way, what is BT? Bluetooth?

Same router modem setup scares me.

Could be linked on the mac of the router/modem.

Thanks everyone

Just getting my ducks in a row now. Found a Prime card seller, new bank account (Halifax), new wireless laptop, BT internet (new IP at the touch of a button), new telephone number (soho66), Stealth address that I have access to

Have I missed anything?

Hettie, I'm UK based, and with BT (wish I wasn't!)

I use the BT home hub for my 'normal' internet activities, as it's shared with my partner and he has an eBay account (just for normal buying).

So instead of worrying and faffing around with that, I purchased a Mifi (Huawei), you can get them from 3. I got mine from eBay as I wanted an Unlocked version, and it was £50 + £6.99 for the Data SIM. It's pay as you go, but if you are just using eB and Paypal then it should last ages. It's honestly as fast as my BT wifi, although it depends on the signal you get.

It's wireless and portable and you switch it off and back on within 20 seconds for a new IP. :thumb:

Unfortunately we are in a signal black spot - like a lot of Wales - thats why I thought BT home hub was good.

Is the Prime card good for Ebay & Paypal?

I'm not sure on the Prime card sorry..

Shame you are in a black spot, but I experimented with the home hub and the IP definately changed every time I switched it off and back on.

Have you seen the spreadsheet to track the IP address and make sure it's new and 'safe'?

Thoses Huawei Mifi devices are awesome. Worked a treat for my stealth accounts. I got one on contract on EE 1GB a month and its more than enough for an Amazon and ebay stealth account(s). Just need to check IP and log each time of course but so far so good. Id certainly recommend them!

Same here tmastermind, I love mine.. thinking of getting another, I don't know why, I just feel the need to have more of them they are so awesome :redface:

Are there any benefits over using a Mifi device opposed to a dongle as far as stealth activity is concerned ?

The only difference being they are battery powered, you can connect them to multiple devices simultaneously and don't need to plug them into the computer USB for connectivity.

Everything else - IP range ... Geo location .. etc, remains the same - Or am I missing something ?
