Keep getting "Balance due" messages

I opened up a new account and for the past month I keep getting a message from Amazon saying

"You have a balance due on your Amazon selling account. We attempted to charge your credit card for this balance, but your credit card's issuing institution declined the charge. This may simply be the result of the credit card information you entered in your seller account not matching the institution's information. Please verify your credit card information on file, including name, expiration date, and zip code is correct. You might also contact your credit card's issuing institution to verify that you have the correct account information."

The card information is correct and when I look online at cc activity it does not show any attempt to charge the card. This new account has about $1500 that Amazon owes me and I have yet to give bank info. I'm afraid to ask Amazon why I keep getting these messages. Any thoughts?

Why afraid Kelly? How many time you get this email? How old is the account?

Re: Keep getting "Balance due" messages

I still get this same email for my old account for A-Z's they put through after the 90 days.
I ignore them as the credit card is changed and no longer valid.

If it was me, I would ignore it (computer generated), and wait to see if your disbursement goes through when you are ready.

Could be a computer glitz on their end??????

every other day is weird. On the account I really own them money I think I got this type of email every week on the pay day. But they don't send this email anymore and I don't know why?

Are you ONLY getting this email in your email account (spam email?) or is it showing up on your AZ account page?

With this type of message I think it is only via email

Very weird- wonder if it is just an error message if no test charge showing

5-10 $ is important as a baseline amount to keep on the card at all times for these test charges

If this sounds muddled, then sorry in advance....

Had a card attached to amazon.

Had missed putting ENOUGH funds on card.

Couple of days latter added them.

About 21 days after, I started getting these emails.

A check on the card activity showed nothing ( like you said).

When I made further enquires it turned out amazon had tried to take funds at the time there was insufficient balance.
