USPS troubles with package tracking
 

September 25, 2013 --- Package has left seller facility and is in transit to carrier
September 26, 2013 2:40:00 AM PDT Trenton NJ Package arrived at a carrier facility
September 26, 2013 3:55:00 AM PDT Bethpage NY Package has left the carrier facility
September 27, 2013 Bethpage NY Package has left the carrier facility
September 28, 2013 New York NY Package has left the carrier facility
September 27, 2013 5:55:00 PM PDT White Plains NY Package has left the carrier facility
September 28, 2013 8:20:00 AM PDT New York NY Package has left the carrier facility
September 28, 2013 6:52:00 PM PDT New York NY Package has left the carrier facility
September 30, 2013 1:17:00 AM PDT Bronx NY Package arrived at a carrier facility
September 30, 2013 4:52:00 AM PDT Bronx NY Package has left the carrier facility


Suggestions? Everytime I have called USPS I have never received an outcome and its jjust a waste of time "creating a case".

I have never seen these types of messages from USPS tracking. They never say carrier facility. It will usually say arrived at sorting facility, arrived at post office, out for delivery, etc. Is this regular USPS priority mail or some kind of hybrid delivery like smartpost?

No wonder packages get lost then.

Its NOT Amazon,,the Postal Service has been Horrendous since their "Downsizing" Last fall,,,actually they have gotten a Little Better lately

with 15k more layoffs this year announced.

Lets stay on topic though. Should I call USPS and ask for the local PO number or is that wasting my time and it seems this is lost?

Can't hurt thats for sure, but I have NEVER had any luck with that sort of thing

I think you need to discern whether this package is bouncing around to every sort facility in New York area (seems unlikely) or this is a problem with the tracking feed. What I would do is go to USPS.com and enter the tracking number there to see if the details match with amazon. I have seen tracking feeds get totally mangled - mostly on eB though.

USPS is the new Russian/Brazilian Post office. I have been seeing an incredible amount of issues with misrouted packages, delayed packages, and misdelivered packages. Along with tracking that does not correspond with what is actually going on with the package and is not getting updated. I had a few priority mail packages take a week to get delivered and a few first class packages take two weeks to get delivered. It is getting to the point that it may become prohibitive for me to sell items that are only profitable when shipped USPS.

USPS is good super nice to me lately :)

I have two P.O BOX at my local PO. Everyone there know me and some time I don't have to wait in the line to get my package. When they see me come in, they just go grab the package for me (not even put the paper or key in my box) in front of the line of people (That made me feel a bit guilty) :)

Wow, VIP treatment at the PO... most definately nice to have. Must be a small station. I dont get good treatment at the PO - but my carrier is real nice to me. I invite him in to get a cold drink on those really hot summer days.

The POP of the town is around 50K people and still grown. Also, we have only 1 PO for the whole city

The carrier is very nice.

I have a package ship to NY last couple weeks, When it get there don't know why it said undeliverable address and got return. The carrier than stop by my house and ask it is OK if they send again. He re-pack the package with a different tracking number and put the receipt with new tracking number in my mail box.

Last week I got the email from buyer ask if I got the package back from the post office. I tracked it and it show current location is my local PO and undeliverable statement on it.

I stop by the PO to check it if the package still somewhere in the facility and the label fall off or something cause I didn't got it back after 2 weeks at the local PO.

They are search for it and couldn't find anywhere. Them my carrier show up and ask me if I still have the receipt that he put in my mail box. Luckily, I still thrown it in my messy minivan. Found that tracking number, tracked it and show delivered two weeks ago with signature.

Email that tracking info to buyer and he/she shut :)

Especially at the local Post Office as well as the Post Man.

The post man even saved me from getting arrested once. I had a warrant on me for a traffic ticket, the city Marshals asked him (post man) if I was home and if they can knock on my door for them to find out. The post man knocked, gave me my mail for the day and told me about the Marshal on the side of the house. I paid the ticket a week later.

USPS was never that great outside of the price,,but now as of the last year or so, they have become a JOKE,,and they are beginning to get a littly costly,,what with all of the Lost packages, and ANGRY Buyers leaving you Negative feedback because of slow shipping, which as we all know,, Negative feedback translates into slower, less profitable sales
