| Zero123 | 10-06-2013 02:15 PM | Selling A Lot Of Phones And Ipods Recently I have been selling a lot of used phones and used ipods. I have been getting them in person and online, then reselling them for profit.
Will amazon have a problem with me listing multiple phones/ipods a week and ban me?
I don't want to end up getting something in bulk like 5 phones paying $1,500 for it, and then when I go to list it being told that I can't, so I would just be stuck with them...
Right now I just buy 1 by 1, but I have had a couple of opportunities where I could buy like 10 and make a lot of money, unless amazon decided to ban me.
What could amazon do here? |

| Zero123 | 10-06-2013 05:57 PM | Re: Selling A Lot Of Phones And Ipods Account is from May. My real account, SSN attached.
It has about 400 sales. Feedback is terrible (80%) over 39 reviews I don't know how I let that happen :(
Almost all the items sold were low cost, low risk.
I had 2 problems with it, one time they suspended me and told me to appeal, I did, got the account back.
It happened again, and they told me to appeal and I said I will stop selling this certain item that was causing problems for me (I stopped selling that 100%, have not sold it since) They gave it back.
I have sold about 5 iPods, and 2 phones so far over the past 2-3 weeks without issue.
The feedback is a work in progress, since letting go of that item I have 100% feedback.
What do you guys think? |
| GreenBean | 10-06-2013 06:24 PM | Re: Selling A Lot Of Phones And Ipods Increase your feedback as much as you can.
That is essential.
I would improve as much as possible in every aspect before listing those items.
You got lucky twice. Let the account really get going well. |
Re: Selling A Lot Of Phones And Ipods Feedback is terrible...not a good start at all and ALREADY an appeal done.
You have already started selling so...what advice you seek exactly? Seems like you are moving them ok - if it ain't broken, don't fix...and certainly don't push.
In your shoes, I would not have taken the leap but, hey congratz on making it so far |

I had the chance to buy about 10 phones the other day from a verified dude (at $350 each)
But I passed on it, now the price went up to $400 which eats all my profit.
If I were to get stuck with 10 phones, that is $3,500
All in all, I am just going to take it slow for now until I get the account going and work on some eBay accounts so if I ever got stuck with anything I meant to sell on amazon I can get rid of it on eBay. |
| MICKY H | 10-06-2013 07:31 PM | Re: Selling A Lot Of Phones And Ipods Set up 2 ghost accounts for buying, different states IP etc. List some very low cost items on your seller account, say 1 cent then buy them yourself. Then give your seller account some positive feedback. Do this 5 times over the 2 accounts. As you have not a lot of feedback this will bounce up your rating. And it works. |

| Gamefreak | 10-06-2013 09:38 PM | Re: Selling A Lot Of Phones And Ipods this is your legit account, i wouldnt risk it. Amazon have been awfully nice to you by allowing to you to get back twice already. third time you might not be so lucky.
List items in correct condition according to amazon guidelines, ship same day, once you see item has been delivered ask buyers for feedback. |
