I received this message from amazon:
Thanks for contacting us with your concerns. Please, at your earliest convenience, ask your bank to contact us directly so that we may verify the information on your account. Your account and order will remain on hold until we can do so. We will gladly assist you with this order and any other orders on your account as soon as we receive approval from your bank.
An Account Specialist can be reached via fax at (206) 266-1838.
I am willing to have my bank contact them but, my bank (TD Bank) refuses to contact anyone, they have to be contacted by Amazon. I did a 3-way call with amazon customer service which was no help because the rep could not see my account.
I gave the rep my banks telephone number but, according to the email, they want my bank to fax them, what exactly, they don't say.
What can I do?

What do you mean by "banned"?
Can you still log-in to your buyer account?
What error did you get?

I can think of two reasons that buyer accounts go down on Amazon. There could be other reasons as well.
First, you may have simply tripped something in Amazon's fraud detection system. They may just be trying to verify your information via your bank, a third party.
The second reason I have seen buyer accounts go down is that the account is being used with Amazon Prime as a "drop-shipper" - buying on Amazon and selling elsewhere. Amazon does not make too much money with Amazon Prime and it is a violation of their agreement to use the accounts to re-sell items.
Of course, it could be something else entirely.

I was able to get my account reopened after faxing in a copy of my bank statement. I placed another order ( no one said that I couldn't) and today i received a call from 206-266-1000 which is Amazon corporate. I wasn't able to answer and they didn't leave a message.
I called Customer service who repeated the line about account on hold, pending further verification etc etc.
Any idea why they would call me? I've never been called by Amazon corporate before.

Seems like something was flagged and having many accounts.
You didnt order the same things from the same accounts? They dont like that.

I contacted them and they want the billing statement for another card I used, a gift card. I told them that its a gift card, faxed them copies of the cards front and back which identifies the card as a gift card and received the same scripted reply "We need the billing statement".
No matter who I talk to via email or phone they only read from a script and see the same-thing over and over.

Success! I don''t know what e-mail actually provoked an unformatted response because I emailed, cis@amazon.com,jeff@amazon.com, bbb and account specialist department but, my account has been unblocked.
