Featured Merchant Question
 

I know it takes 90 days to become a featured merchant in some categories. If you start as an individual seller for 90 days and upgrade to a pro merchant, would you become a featured merchant immediately, or does the 90 day clock start when you become a pro merchant?

I dont think there is a rule to 90 days as I have seen accounts that I would bet be less then 90 days and become featured.

More importantly to becoming featured is perfect metrics and sales volume.

Metrics is paramount. If you are a FBA seller you become a featured seller if you are cheaper than all your competitors and around 30cents cheaper than amazon instantly.

90 days is a pretty good guideline. If you see accounts that are featured prior to 90 days it's just because they don't do a lot of business or it was a "sleeper" account. I have less than 40 feedback and I'm featured in the categories that I sell in. It seemed to have taken just under 90 days since after I upgraded back to professional.

I know some secrets to getting featured merchant status. Just don't think it should be advertised all over the forum here otherwise Amazon will be flooded with featured merchants. If you plan on selling a lot of stuff on your own and really need featured merchant status PM me.
