| helpmelol | 10-20-2013 07:59 AM | old buyer account - How to use it? AMazon is the nr. 1 place to buy on the internet, cheap, fast delivery, etc.
I have been buying from Amazon for the past 5-6 years.
But I've gone stealth now, so I can't use my old account anymore.
But there are some orders I need to cancel within 1-2 days otherwise they'll be shipped and they'll charge me 700$, items I don't need anymore.
So how do I do this?
Can I just change my IP address again, log in on my old buyer account on my old user account and cancel the order, than change IP again, delete all history and continue to sell by logging in on the new user account, with new IP?
Or should I just make use of a public internet access, log into my old account and cancel?
And how does this work when I want to order something? I can only order on my old (buyer) account, with my real address etc. |

Just treat it as a stealth account, follow all of the procedures and you will be fine. If you can easily get public access to the internet then that is probably safer if you are unsure on the stealth methods. |

I am still in favour of keeping a separate buyer account made with ghost methods to avoid any old ties |

This is an old account that is not used anymore. Using public IP for a buyer account only is completely fine and probably the best way to go about it.
Just make sure whatever device you use to log into the buyer account is kept separate from your stealth accounts. |

| When did you place these orders? Use the same way to cancel them as when you order them. |

So if I just change my IP address and log into my buyer account on the user account linked to it, cancel the orders, delete browsing history & cookies and then change my IP address again, I'm good? |

Your statement is not clear |
Re: old buyer account - How to use it? @barrycruan, you have to understand that sometimes it isnt clear if the seller account still has FUNDS in it...like waiting 90 days to withdraw.
You do a public IP log-in on a seller account in a 90 day suspension mode and bam! it can be deleted (just a side note) |

The op stated they dont use this account anymore. So its fine to use as a buyer account.
If there were funds still on the account Im sure they would have said so.
Also how do you know the account will be deleted if they use a public IP? That does not even make sense.
I really do think you make a lot of stuff up. |

I really do think you make a lot of stuff up. | Nothing is always so self evident - people forget to mention about funds in waiting...so it's a good cautionary move.
Because there is proof on the forums that deletions have occurred on public IP access.
Fair enough if you think that I make stuff up (you are entitled to your own opinion) but some of your advice is putting people in a sketch situation too - contradictions to some of the working principles |
| TonyAlmeida | 10-21-2013 11:59 AM | Re: old buyer account - How to use it? Come on guys. If the OP provide enough information and in detail he/she will get the best answer/advice fast. If he/she didn't and not answer direct to the question people asked and the OP will not get the right answer/advice. That is very simple and we don't need to arguing about it :)
Cheer up guys, I have a beer for everyone here :) |
| barrycruan | 10-21-2013 12:02 PM | Re: old buyer account - How to use it? There is not one single bit of proof that amazon have ever deleted a seller account that was previously suspended. because a public IP was used. There would be no proof of this anywhere outside of amazons computers, never mind these forums.
Amazon would never tell you so at best its a guess. But also I have never even heard of a suspended seller account being deleted because a public IP was used. Can you provide the proof? | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:30 AM. | |
