account suspension with LLC given
 

This just happened to me. Everything was brand new. Internet, computer, prepaid card, etc....EIN is a LLC. They suspended my account within' minutes. I never even received an email for the suspension. I called and politely complained, and they sent an email on my behalf to seller central. They said that I'll receive an email in the next 24 to 48 hrs to address my concerns. All information is stealth except that my LLC is legit.

I doubt you will get a reply from them.

Is it possible they did an LLC cross check?

They assigned a case number for me. In the email it states that someone will contact me by email in less than 12 hrs. I contacted the "Technical Account Management". The person on the phone said that they'll contact me in 24 to 48 hrs. The LLC is 2 weeks old. This account was suspended within' 2 minutes after I completed the tax wizard. I did check the box where it asks if the LLC was created in the last 30 days. It may have said 60 days but they knew this LLC was just formed.

That could have been one of the triggers with the LLC.

There was a thread created about how LLCs can be a matter of public record and verified by those who look for it.

Ive never created one so I would wait for others who have in this area.

Thanks for the replies so far. I know a few people who have created many LLC's and haven't had any problems. Their accounts are also stealth. The address listed on my LLC is the same as what I gave Amazon.

Edit:
There was a question on there that asks if I own any of the items I'm selling, and I checked yes. That is the first time I saw that question, or I may have skipped over that question in the past. The only thing I saw different this time around was that they requested an electronic signature at the end of the tax wizard, by typing my name. I typed in my LLC name for the signature.

This is not my first time setting up accounts, but it is the first time setting up an account using an LLC. It's basically the same process......

There is also an LLC verification site for every state. So amazon might be cross referencing info as a new form of detection?

Thanks for the link. A couple people I know recently opened a decent amount of LLC's, within' the past 1.5 months, and they haven't had any problems getting their accounts going. We all used the same process to form the LLC's. The odds of me getting flagged and not one of theirs is just baffling to me.

The LLC's were formed at different dates.

Amazon is tough there are so many other factors they could of tracked you on , and didn't have to be the EIN.

Hroller you need to give more details such as:

Type of internet connection/ is it a static ip or dynamic?
What VCC did you use

if you got linked before even trying to sell anything then this is a mistake you have unfortunately made. Amazon will not do a manual check of info for every account that is made. Their computer will red flag you and that is it.

Internet: Mobile Wireless, password protected

VCC: Vanilla Prepaid

Everything is brand new. Computer, etc...All of my wireless devices are password protected. The computer will only auto-connect to my wireless device that I assigned it. In order to change the connection, I would have to manually do it. So it's not possible that my connection got lost and I connected to someone else's network. Everything I did was clean. I didn't receive a reason why my account was suspended when I talked to AZ earlier today. Maybe tomorrow they'll at least tell me something. Thanks for the replies.

How did u set up the EIN was it in a new business address or did u use an address previously suspended??

There's also been a lot of members talking about the test charge on your CC and if the funds are not on the card they close the account


Both forums Amazon and Ebay have tightened I noticed a couple items I sold just two weeks ago I tried to list more 2 weeks later and it said that you needed special permission , my account is perfect so far ( sold only under 100 items on it ) but thought it was something I did and was little worried till someone told me that took that complete line off from selling

And I feel security has been tighter with Paypal , I never had a problem till I opened up one account this month and asked for proof of address , was reinstated quickly but still was limited a few hours

So it's the last quarter of the year I think it's like 80% of retail business comes in this quarter( not sure if true about online but I know I big chunk will come from this quarter) so watch your steps and becareful with accounts

The address is from a place that provides boxes for a fee. The LLC was created using a well known 3rd party. The VCC has $20 on it.

You might also be listing an item that has a LOT of sellers being taken down...I don't know what you are selling (and that for sure is only your business) but keep in mind that some listing articles are hot and sellers get suspended all the time...

Is it possible the test charge for a 'Pro' account is 39.99, and if it fails, bye bye?

Update:

They said that the account is suspended because no bank account information was entered. They want me to enter my bank details. Well, that shouldn't be a problem but I have never experienced an account that was suspended because bank details weren't entered right away. This AZ account is less than a week old. I haven't even listed anything yet.

EDIT:

I think the excuse they gave me for the suspension was just BS so they could avoid telling me that their computer system triggered a suspension for some unknown reason.

Let's hope you come back and say the account is reinstated.

No bank account being touted as a reason has reprecussions for the stealth program.

Congrats!!! Im glad to hear you got your account back.

This goes to show that its best not to enter LLC info right away, if you get suspended you lose a EIN for nothing. Might want to start as a individual seller first, get some sales going to make sure you don't lose the account, and then upgrade to pro and enter the EIN info.
