Negative feedback for .01 item

Figured I would dilute my ODR by putting some cheap items out and taking a loss. Not. Yesterday I look and some guy leaves me a 2 cause the bubble envelope arrived torn and retaped by USPS.

That really sounds like a competitor.

What a jerk.

get in touch with the buyer and try to resolve it

Re: Negative feedback for .01 item

That is totally a jerk move by this buyer - wonder if worth contacting Amazon about this and explaining your side to get it removed...

Damn, that's something that definitely makes the whole concept of diluting diminish. I was actually about to use the same concept and wondering if people would really leave a neg feedback or AZ claim over .01 item.
Let us know if you can get them to remove it by simply refunding the order or sending them a new one.

Sometimes I would use their phone number listed on the order and call them if they don't respond to the email, it kind of catches them off guard and if you word it correctly they should feel ridiculous and comply over such a cheap transaction.

List a 1c item is the cheapest way for your competitor to take you down :) Build your own feedback system is a better way

Yeah, but that's the thing... The item arrived fine. They just didn't like the way the bubble envelope looked.

I think if was a competitor they would knock the product but this looks like a low-life customer since he said nothing bad about the item - only the envelope.

But I agree cheap items leave you open target to competitors maybe unless you use FBA. But I have no experience yet with that.

Time to grovel.

I sometimes wonder what most sellers do when confronted with low-life buyers that think feedback system is a place to bitch about anything they feel like.

1. Bang head on computer.
2. Yoga/Meditation
3. Curse
4. Drink heavily.
5. Make more stealth accounts.
6. All the above.

I just do number 5

There is no use in crying over a small cup of spilled milk when I have an entire herd to milk in its place :thumb:

I just got a neutral from ebay for the slow shipping from the shut down.
Some buyers are just moronic and think that you have control over the entire postal service.

If this is exactly how he worded it, take it directly to Amazon for removal. They are claiming a problem with the carrier, something you cannot be held accountable for. If they just say "torn and retaped" then it would be harder to get that removed. The mention of USPS is very helpful.

Re: Negative feedback for .01 item

Nowadays it is virtually impossible to "take it directly to Amazon for removal". The system for feedback disputes that AZ has in place just gives you a canned response that nothing can be done. And there is simply no other way to dispute it.

Wtf, does Amazon even allow this?
It was 1 cent item for god sake, wtf. I would punch that guy in the face if I met him in real life.

Some people...

Re: Negative feedback for .01 item

The sad other part is that the 1 cent item will attract moronic buyers :( catch-22

I wholeheartedly hope that my competition feels the same way.
