Default Walmart MoneyCard

Has anyone had luck with Walmart MoneyCard and mismatched names?

I was just going to use a variation of real name

Real name: John Smith

Stealth name: Jon Smith

Thanks for the quick reply

How long have you had the account?

Size of deposits?

Variation of name or totally mismatched names?

Thanks!

1 is over 1 year, 2nd one is about 10 months.

Both completely different names. Size of deposits I keep under $500 per day. I usually do 200-300 every 2-3 days. I dont use these cards very much they are not my primary bank accounts. I use the attached ebay accounts for mostly small used items under $40/each.

Yes I was reading something about keeping the deposits under $500. Unfortunately with Amazon I only get paid every two weeks and the deposits would be way over $500. It looks like these cards can by either Greendot or GE Capital

Is moneycard same as moneypak? If so, then I read mixed reviews on this. If you test anyway do let me know your results.

I've used Walmart MoneyCard on one occasion to get ~$100 out of an account, which completely mismatched names. I used it to verify the account, which failed the first attempt and worked the 2nd time, looking at the transaction statement, they were unable to take the $.10 back.

I was a little taken back and hadn't used it since.

MoneyCard isn't the same as MoneyPak, however both are by greendot. MoneyPak will allow you to fund your PayPal and a MoneyCard will allow you to withdraw, provided you register the card and fork over your SSN.

I was going to use a mismatched name with just one letter dropped so I don't think it will be an issue

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I am finally activated my first stealth account and
Im trying to add another bank account in order to withdrawal but once I put in account and routing number I get this message "we don't recognize the device your using, to continue linking your bank account, please verify your account".
Then there's an option to receive an automated phone call for the security code.
It has the number in which the account was setup with & they also give you the option to add a number. Can anyone help me on what I should do??

Walmart Moneycard was originally GE Bank, but was since (in the last couple of months) bought out by Green Dot. Anyone know if new ones still work?
