Amazon news

I came across an article. Once I locate it I will post the link.It read something like Mid 2014 or toward the end Amazon will be getting rid of the third party selling platform indefinitely!Something to the effect it is becoming non lucrative (Nonprofitable).I guess they stole enough money from us!

Here we come Ebay!!I suggest we all start selling like crazy before its demise.:rip:

Totally disagree, this is extremely profitable for amazon, and in my opinion the future will be that amazon will just become a selling portal. Just like play.com in the UK.

Amazon's Third Party Sellers Drive Margins And Stock Higher - Forbes

"The primary factor behind the growth in margins was the success of third party sellers on Amazon’s marketplace.
"

Third party sellers important to them

and

"During Q4, third party sales made up 39% of units purchased compared with 36% the year before. "

Unless amazon want to wipe out 36% of there sales which they gotta explain to shareholders, i dont see them doing that

Agreed with Micky. They are earning hell of money from third party sellers. But if it will happen then amazon will be dead like play.com.

I used to get as many sales on play.com as I did on Amazon. Since Play has just become a marketplace my sales have slumped by 90%.

Cannot see Amazon getting rid of 3rd party selling. Just too profitable for them

Re: Amazon news

Did you check the date of the article, April 1st maybe. There is absolutely no way amazon would do this.

The fact that they have been investing so heavily in fulfilment centres in every country to expand the fba programme should tell you exactly which direction amazon is going. If anything they would be more likely to start phasing out some of the lines that they sell.

Haha funny joke. AZ makes a **** load of loot just by deleting all your accounts. They ain't giving that up.

I do think I saw some type of article but it wasn't AZ ... I think it was sears.com.

Re: Amazon news

third party sellers = so much profits at so less risk
why would they take such a step

Re: Amazon news

why would you stop something that you easily make 15% profit from sellers from for doing nothing but having a known name? Makes no sense whatsoever.
