Amazon now counting the weekends for late shipments!

Not sure if this is a new policy or just for the Holidays.

I always have "ships in 24hours" for my shipments. In the past, any order that comes in Friday and the weekend would always an expected ship date for the following business day, Monday. Amazon always counted business days for their expected ship time.

any orders that came in over the weekend are now showing late since they were not shipped in "1 day".

Im sure this new change would effect all sellers so make sure you check your expected ship dates.

Thanks Amazon, for communicating this change to us :) I ship all my orders in less then 24 hours, but I am not Amazon and UPS does not pick up Sat or Sundays for everyone. yikes!

Will it count if you simply print of the label but do not "ship" it. Just print off labels and just have a pile to be picked up on Monday..

Can be very aggravating as weekends are suppose to be "off" time for a lot of people.

not true, in my experience. I have always had next day and expedited come in on Fri and weekends, and the expected ship date would show Monday. This is the first weekend I have noticed this. they were standard shipping.

So if a next day comes in on Fri, the expected delivery date is Sunday?

Thats crazy. Half my items I ship are large and go out via UPS.

I wish Amazon would allow sellers to change the expected ship time for all listings with a setting. Then we could atleast adjust to this.

There is no bulk edit tool for Amazon? Sounds like a design bug..

you don't actually have to ship the item you just have to print the shipping label and give tracking.

Actually shipping the item is well up to you but the timeframe with 24 hour handling is really tight.

That is what I will have to do. I have been doing this for large purchases that come in over the weekend before disbursement, which is Sunday night for me.

Must be new policy that is coming down to all sellers, I checked last weeks sales and they all had Monday as expected ship so I guess this took effect this weekend for me.

Might have to remove the option to expedite ship then - if it's really bothering you
