That's it - I'm shutting it down today folks till after xmas - the worry-warts are getting out of hand. Dude orders an item from me yesterday then messages me today that he paid $6 extra to send the item "express" and it hasn't arrived. I explain to him to look at the order - he paid for expedited service not express. Even then the estimated arrival is 19-24.

What the hell is wrong with these people - can't they read? Just too many assholes to deal with.

Relax. This happens every year at Christmas. I always take down popular listings about 8 days before Christmas. There are too many issues with people waiting until the last minute to buy gifts, then they expect the seller to move heaven and earth to get them there in an impossible timeframe.

Hey, your buyer paid an extra $6. That means that the minute you got the order, you should have grabbed the item, drove to the airport and got on a plane to hand-deliver the item.

I had a buyer like this, when he found out the estimated delivery date, he gave negative feedback, made an order return request and sent me a message to cancel order...........what a buyer.

I would uncheck the Expedited box this time of year. Just standard shipping

That's what bothers me about selling around Christmas. While the 1 positive is an increase in sales.....people expect immediate delivery like this and if not satisfied it can leave you with an angry buyer and possible negative feedback. Also, usually it's people buying gifts for other people for Christmas so the chances of a return are a lot more likely (hate dealing with returns) if the gift receiver didn't like it or the wrong thing was bought.

you not use to selling this type of year? Ppl will order on the 23rd and then when they don't get the item on the 24th and they leave negative saying slow shipping etc.

Get use to it really fast.

After a certain date in December, cancel listings.

Close up shop.

Make eggnog.

Be happy.

Fudge the buyers.

Be happy.

I've gotten quite a few buyers that are mistaking the estimated ship date with the estimated delivery date and complain when the item hasn't been "shipped" to them the next day.

EVERY year for the past 6 years I have closed up shop around Dec 10 or so.
WAY to much BS that usually ends up in NEG feedback and buyers wanting refunds because the item did not arrive in their lap 9 seconds after they paid for it.

I stay closed till after the New Year holiday is over and then open back up in Jan.

This takes SO much stress off of me you would not believe unless you are already doing this too.
