Lowest price but not show on products main page
 

I have an item that list as lowest price but show at the product main page. Anyone know why is it? Just happen today.

My item like $99 with $10 shipping
Other guy item is $105 with $10 shipping

In my seller portal said I have the lowest price.

Only two seller at this time but the other guy item show on top. On the right and bottom it said two new item start at $99 (which is mine)

The other guy is not feature merchant, just like me. Couple days ago my item show on the main by beat him only 1-2 cent.

I don't see any listings with featured merchant now, have they done away with it?

I don't know. But I was on the main page yesterday by beat the same guy for just 2 cents

Most listings have been combined for lowest price first now. featured is pretty much useless if they are a a lot of sellers unless you have the buy box.

Who has the buy box?

regarding buy box, amazon seem to rotate this between sellers with a similar price now, you have to be quite a fews dollars cheaper to maintain the buy box for yourself

This is very weird and I never see this before.

Even he run out of stock and his name not on the list anymore. I'm the only one have in stock but still not show in the main page. Instead on the right and bottom say "1 new item sale for $xx" when click that we see my name.

Oh, Maybe he win the buy box. I never know this before cause I use to sale used item. But I read on Amazon that to win the buy box you have to qualify for Featured Merchant and he is not

The only way you can get the. It box is of you are a featured merchant or if you use fba. Also of the item is used it is not eligible for the buy box. How do you know he is not a featured merchant?

I also had such issue before. Even the other seller attach to my listing with much higher price, Amazon change it as he is the add owner and like i have attached to this listing below , even my price is way way lower. I guess is normal as i have seen it many times.

I remember the the Featured Merchant status will be show?????

I know I'm not featured merchant ever before. But I remembered my name show in that box.

Anyway, learn something new today :)

I have seen this before in certain categories (think it was electronics, but not 100% sure). Saw numerous sellers with much lower price and still not get buy box. Could be the category setting on AZ?

As for the shared buy box, I can 100% verify that it does happen. Usually the price varies by about 1-2%. Again though, these did not happen in certain categories.

Experimentation will give you the best answers.

My item is $10 cheaper but sold on 3 from yesterday white the order guy sold like 30 already :( Well, it nothing I can do about it

Are you both seller fulfilled?

How much bigger is the other seller? Feedback/sales/metrics play a huge role in buybox.

Is the question why is he selling more or why is he getting the buybox?
