FBA status question?
 

Good Morning,

In the "Manage FBA Shipments" the status show "CLOSED", what is this mean?
In the "Manage FBA Inventory" the status sow "RESERVED", what is this mean?

I really don't understand this FBA thing :(

Just got an email from Amazon that "Amazon has shipped the item you sold"

1. Early morning I received email from Amazon "FBA Inbound Shipping Received In-Full (but the status was showed as I asked in the OP)
2. Just now got the email "Amazon has shipped the item you sold" (but the status still show the same as the OP)

3. I didn't received any email from Amazon when the item sold.
4. I just my inventory 30' before got the email (in number 2) and the inventory show available = 0
5. This is fresh new account with no feedback. My item list more than $200. But in the same time, Amazon list $160 and another FBA seller list $150. I don't have a chance to see if my item show in the Buy Box or not.
6. Amazon and another FBA seller is more than $50 cheaper than my price. Plus they have great feedback. I don't think that I have a chance with Buy Box.
7. But if I not win the Buy Box at one time, how in the earth that buyer buy from me (no feedback with $50 more)

Closed means received at warehouse.

Reserved means sale pending, or yet to be put into AZ computer, or item being reviewed by AZ.

Yes, pricing can drive you nuts. When you ship, all looks good.
Then other sellers inventory comes available, then AZ gets inventory, and it can really drive you nuts.

Hope it's a fast moving item, and both run out of inventory quickly.

Sometimes better to send in small quantitys and more often, then a whole bunch in 1 shipment.

If the FBA shipment shows "30 received". Thats all you need to worry about......

Sometimes it can take up to 72 hours for items to become available for sale.

"reserved" can mean pending sales. If you dont see any pending sales, then Amazon has decided to trans-ship your inventory to other fulfillment centers. If inventory is in transit, they will come up as "reserved" also.

Also sometimes reserved means it is received and waiting to be shipped to another facility
