| helpmelol | 01-16-2014 06:00 PM | Will I get into trouble if I use Amazon for dropshipping I want to start my own store, and I want to list Amazon products. I won't hold any inventory, but purchase the product from Amazon and let Amazon send it to the buyer's address.
Is this allowed? Will I get into trouble if I do this?
I won't use eBay or anything like that, just my own webshop. |

Also, if you use prime to ship the items, amazon will frown HEAVILY on that. |

| BigCJ | 01-16-2014 06:57 PM | Re: Will I get into trouble if I use Amazon for dropshipping I would still see a PO'ed buyer reporting you if they realized this.
It could work... |
| jeffweico | 01-16-2014 07:00 PM | Re: Will I get into trouble if I use Amazon for dropshipping The question isn't whether or not you will get into trouble... It is not illegal to do this, so NO, you won't "get in trouble" if you do this.
But you WILL have some problems.
Customers could be upset. For example, you sell ITEM1 at your website for $49.95, and have Amazon ship it to your customer. They notice it came from Amazon and look it up, finding the price is $29.95. Your customer now feels ripped off.
I don't think Amazon will care much, unless you use PRIME. Their margins are very low on prime and they specify in the prime user agreement that you will not use your prime account to ship products that have been re-sold. |

If a customer orders a product from you, it then arrives in an Amazon box, most will think nothing of it, some will look the item up on Amazon and realise what has happened, most of these will then think "silly me, I should have checked Amazon" and do nothing about it, a small percentage will leave feedback saying "#%&#! This guy dropships from Amazon!". But at the end of the day more fool them for not shopping around. If you bought a book in one retail store then found it cheaper elsewhere you wouldn't run back to the first store and shout "you ripped me off!!"
The biggest problem is selling an item on EBay, then when you go to buy on Amazon the price has gone up.
Amazon don't care about dropshippin from them, loads of people been doing it for years. Amazon and Ebay are dropshippers themselves. |
| helpmelol | 01-16-2014 08:00 PM | Re: Will I get into trouble if I use Amazon for dropshipping I won't sell on eBay, that's the thing :p.
And I will use all kind of Amazon's.
Like if someoe from Germany orders a product, I will use Amazon.de.
If someone from USA orders, I'll obviously use Amazon.com.
(So they get their stuff faster). |

The best way is using prime and ship it to yourself and you ship it on your own. It will cut some profit but it's a better way to do it. |
Re: Will I get into trouble if I use Amazon for dropshipping Unnecessary. Will cut all of your profit on many items you sell. |
| user3657 | 01-18-2014 01:05 AM | Re: Will I get into trouble if I use Amazon for dropshipping Just be glad not all states are charged tax. Amazon/NJ started in July. It really sucks. |
| helpmelol | 01-22-2014 04:29 PM | Re: Will I get into trouble if I use Amazon for dropshipping Thanks for your help everyone :).
I won't be charging customers the normal way, so they will know on forehand that it will come from other suppliers. I guess I'll just have to try and see what happens :D.
(Most of the products are worth over 20 Euros/GBP, Amazon UK & Germany send it for free if it is over that amount, you don't need prime). | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:53 PM. | |
