Seller rating question

All my metrics are green, 90% positive feedback, and 98.5% perfect orders.

All seems well, but my seller rating is 0.00/100.

It says that my "unweighted" seller rating is 97% but my " time weighted" rating is 0.00.

Can anyone explain this to me?

Is this something I should be concerned about?

Thanks!

Never heard of this. Is this new ODR?

I'm not sure. In my seller central dashboard it shows my seller rating. It says 0.00. When I click on it it shows me the "unweighted" and "time weighted" ratings. It says that my current seller rating is 0.00/100. How is that possible with 98.5% perfect orders?!

Got me. I don't see this screen. Might be something they are testing on some accounts.

Also, it gives me a breakdown on a variety of data that is used to calculate your rating.

It says that an order that receives negative feedback scores -500 points. I have one negative feedback so I was docked 500 points for that order.

It also says that you get +10 bonus points for orders that meet certain criteria. I have several orders that meet the criteria but have received NO bonus points.

Not sure I really understand all this.

Thoughts?

Re: Seller rating question

How is your Seller Rating calculated?

Each of your orders in the last 365 days is assigned a score, called an Order Quality Score. If an order is fulfilled without any problems, it receives 100 points. Orders with associated problems lose points.

Your Order Quality Score takes the following events into consideration:

Order-related buyer messages that do not receive a response within 24 hours
Orders where the actual ship date is later than the promised ship date
Cancelled orders (does not include buyer-requested order cancellations)
Orders that are not confirmed shipped within the required time period
Seller-faulted credit card chargebacks on an order
Seller-faulted A-to-z Guarantee claims on an order
Negative feedback on an order
Scoring Scale
Some problems are considered more significant than others, and consequently you lose more points for them. For example, an order receives 0 points if it was shipped late, but it receives -500 (negative five hundred) points if it resulted in an A-to-z Guarantee claim.

If an order has multiple problems, only the most significant problem is counted toward your score.

When you provide truly exceptional service on an order, you may receive a bonus 10 points for a total score of 110.

To qualify for bonus points, an order must meet all of the following criteria:
No events listed for the Order Quality Score
Order shipped with a valid tracking number
Order delivered within 3 working days after it is placed
Order delivered by the minimum promised arrival date
Order does not result in refunds or concessions
The score for all your orders from the last 365 days is totaled, and an average score is computed by dividing the total points by the number of orders.

Since performance on recent orders is more important than those in the past, a time weighted average is applied to determine your final score. This means that your most recent mature orders count the most and will have the greatest impact on your final score.

Sounds like Amazon hired some math nerds who have too much free time on their hands.

look at the time scales, certain selling geometrics are based on sales more than a month ago

I have opened a new US account, trading one month all metrics are green, and seller rating is 100. Don't quite understand. Have you a screen shot? What is your reply time to customer e mails.

Re: Seller rating question

My response time is showing 100% customer inquiries answered within 16 minutes. My seller rating is still showing 0.00 and my orders still show almost 99% perfect. I'm at a loss.

@a.v. This account is less than a month old.

well some metrics come up after a month, they should have the dates each metric is for

hello there. my seller rating is very low and getting lower every day. i don`t have sales but the rating goes down. will they suspend my account if my rating is too low? i canceled 2 orders recently because the customers asked me to and now the rating goes low.

Never cancel orders just cause the customer says to. Your account just took a big hit.

Re: Seller rating question

The customer can easily cancel orders themselves. Just ask the customer to go to amazon and cancel the order themselves.

That's risky.

By all means accomodate a buyer.

But direct them to do it in such a way to not damage your account.
