Getting my first "return to sender"...

Got an email from a customer saying they left a number out of the address and the item is being returned. The problem is shipping for this item was 14$.

What do you do? Will Amazon cover a-z or neg feedback in this case?

Unless $14 is seriously going to break you, why don't you just take care of the customer? I get messed up addresses all the time. That's part of selling online.

No, you're out of luck if the customer jams you with a negative or a-z even if it's their fault.

How do you know it's being returned? Maybe they just delivered it to the wrong address.

Customer contacted me saying they typed 110 instead of 1110 and that the item is being returned and if I could resend the item. I told them I could only send to the address on the original order and that they would need to place a new order.

But how does the customer know it's being returned? Does the tracking say return to sender?

Communication with buyer is key here - while unkown5454 provided on solution, another is that you write to your buyer - explain your shipping costs and see how he takes it.
