Sending documents to amazon. Update

As you are aware, Amazon now request government id and bank account verification to start selling.

You can choose to verify bank first or id, its upto you.

If amazon doesnt like your documents they will let you know within 17 hours.

If amazon do accept your documents they wont let you know. You just gotta verify your bank account which takes 3-10 days, then find out if they let you list or not

This is a bit ridiculous.

Not as yet, no.

The amazon platforms (UK,FR,DE) started with these requests in the past 15 days much more across the board than before.

Rest assured numerous experiments are happening.

Time to make up US account before they change :)

One positive out of this situation is that you can at least attempt ID verification without burning a bank account. On UK Paypal, you have to bank verify first before submitting documents.

If they can do that to those countries then they will do it here sooner or later.

I think this is a more a legal requirement for EU banking and payment regulations and amazon having to conform. This does kind of happen in the US with the tax interview. Has anybody tried setting up an account as a non EU based company or sole trader.

amz is already doing this with US accounts, when you go thought TAX interview (for pro accounts) your info does gets verified with IRS.

I made 1 2 weeks ago.card details address and everything was Canada based.Standard gift card registered to canadian address (once used before on a us suspended acc) ,phone number canada based standard forwarding.didnt give any issues.Dont know whether they started this after that or was it really because of different country.
US tax interview can somehow be managed with llc or foreign affiliates.dont know whether that will work for UK.

Re: Sending documents to amazon. Update

Here is update from me

I made a account on real info.
This is a individual seller, private seller.

First when signed up just few days back, like everyone else had the notifications of sending the docs in. I chose driving license since the passport is expired.
Then today i have seen that the notifications of requirements of documents has gone.
Although i am still waiting on the micro deposits.

I just have listed a item and everything seems to good.

But since this is a real account, i have not upgrading to pro merchant until i experiment with a ghost account. In a way i know what i can be in for

I did also put in some stealth details for a account, but did not click on anything to send docs. I left it has it was to see if the docs requirement disappears by itself
I would let you know later on

How about everyone. How is it all going?
Any success on Ghost accounts.
