iPhone as a Hotspot

So i know that if use my iPhone as a hotspot it will generate a new ip address. My question is whether or not this ip address will show my location within 50 miles since i read that they check to see if the address is within 50 miles. Does anyone know how iPhone ip addresses work?

Also, how about the MAC address for my iPhone. Should that be a problem? Can i change it if i am using it for multiple accounts?

Your IP address will tell your rough location based on GeoLocation info. How do people Stealth across the country; don't worry. As long as you have an IP in USA, you should be fine.

How about MAC address using an iPhone for hotspot?

Re: iPhone as a Hotspot

As of now they still just see the IP, and as the other post said the important thing is to have the same country IP

When I change the Mac to get a new IP from my home wireless router I pick up IPs that are 400 miles or more away besides IP in my state and never had a problem

It probably is a better idea to have an IP closer to your actual location but as of now eBay is not flagging this activity, more if the IP and country differ

Also if you are using your phones IP , make sure you log the IP, I found when obtaining an IP by these means the range is not as big and repeats ocurr More frequent

According to the stealth guide, it just seems that once you use ur phone as a hotspot for one amazon account, u cannot use it for another account...since the MAC address is the same.

Oops , whenever I hear stealth I think eBay and ghost I think Amazon , I'm not too sure with Amazon, but I hear some say they can't and others they can see the Mac , there is a lot of threads on this I know that, just type in the search box whatever ur looking for

You'll need a new cell phone for EVERY amazon account you create. I usually pick up Nokia Lumia 520's for this. $60 a pop, but (for me) I make that back in just one sale. Pretty solid investment considering you'll be able to sell 50~ items with each account before they demand tax info

They demand tax info before you register your account

Who does - you mean Amazon?

I've never had to enter any tax information until I reach or get near the 50 item limit. Then they request a SSN for a W-9

yes you need to enter tax info when you infact register on amazon. about mac address, i ve had same confusion. I was told that amazon do not track mac address anymore. You can use one pc for multiple amazon account using seperate windows user account for each amazon ghost acc. You also need to make sure your ips do not criss-cross, this may link accounts. As long as ip are different you are good to go.
