Amazon account closure after 5 years and millions of product sold
 

We got an email from amazon saying that they "think" that we are selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and so we appealed and they didnt like the appeal. We then sent invoices, they didnt like them either and then emailed back and stated the account is now closed and that there is not anything they can do at this point although the account status still says "suspended"

We sold over 20 million on amazon in the last 5 years. our products are purchased directly from authorized distributors we sell watches by the way. Everything is 100% new and in box with tags all authentic.

We dont know what to make of it and are in shock at the moment. We need help, advice tips anything you guys can think of.

We contacted our account reps at amazon and there wasnt much they can do about it.

These people definitely do not have any idea about what there doing there.

They have almost 200K of our money held up at the moment and they said they will hold it for 90 days.

We are thinking about involving a lawyer however we are not sure yet.

This is a nightmare and we need to get it resolved in the quickest way possible. Does anyone have any idea about what can be done at this point?

Your best bet is to contact the Amazon executive customer relations seller department. They can be reached by emailing your final appeal, so make it good to Jeff@amazon.com

yes contact jeff with those kind of sales i mean someone will look at your account. Ive been suspended a few times and appeal successfully. If you like i can look over the email you sent them to appeal the suspension.

you probably made a rookie mistake in the appeal process or a rights owner contact amazon and said you are selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗, if thats the case then there is NOTHING anyone at amazon can do for you. Rights owner take precedent over ALL.

also is this first suspension, did you get any policy violations or anything before you got suspended?

Yeh, I am serious. The executive will take a look at it and make a FINAL decision. These are american higher-ups that work in headquarters.

Similar selling pattern like you had with that other account might be an issue.

Are they truly stealth or linked?

In making an appeal you have to cover yourself FULLY

Your financial contribution to amazon matters little.

This is quite an old story with Amazon. Most likely they learned your business inside-out they now know your suppliers so they can give you the boot and sell these items directly. It's the new reality of business. One day the government might call them under the anti-trust statutes but I wouldn't hold my breath - especially with the braindead electorate in America.

very true,if its the right owner than no chance but a lot of times what happens is your competitors report you for policy violations when the competition hurts their sale.your suspension can be of that reason too .unless ofcourse a buyer complained but then youve mentioned youre selling from distributors.
Do the final appeal at that email.if you get lucky theyll take a look at your account.but make sure its solid.
Ive had mix luck with it.It helped me once but thrice they didnt look at it again and once the volume stuck for 90 days was very similar to yours

First of all slickist, you don't need a lawyer as you will get your funds in 90days, this is in amazon terms that you agreed to when signing up. Luckily your account has not been deleted.
Second, yes appeal to jeff@amazon.com, its not actually Jeff but its a human in the US who will look at the account. State exactly what you do, your business model and offer to send further information if required like purchase invoices etc.
The problem is, if they think you are selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗, then this has come from a distributor of that product, not a customer, if a customer you may get a policy warning.
Also resubmit your appeal to seller support via the web site, under accounts suspended.
Good Luck, but your chances are slim.
This is the problem with amazon, your business is one day at a time and you cannot plan any further.

I can not agree more!!!!
It has happened to all my Amazon accounts in nitch markets. Gillet is a perfect example and now Rage in the archery world. ONLY AMAZON is allowed to sell those two brands.

I saw on Rage webpage about the counterfeit issue - it does suck that Amazon only has rights to sell it :( sadly...counterfeiters ruin it for many

I am just curious why you haven't used these past 5 years to open your own website, clearly you have a product that sold well.

Many people do have their own websites and sell on Amazon at the same time.. Often times Amazon is the larger income. Walking away from it just because you have some semblance of a backup is not really an option.

Website or not, you always limit the risk. if you have all of your eggs in one basket then this kind of thing can and will happen.

I feel sorry for op but this is a lesson to everyone. From the biggest seller to the smallest. Always, always have a contingency plan.

Here today gone tomorrow. Amazon don't care is you sell £5m a year. They don't lose anything as their customer will simply buy from the next seller. You lose, amazon march onwards.

Such a scary system to sell on. Between them and eBay, they control the majority of online retail and they can do as they please with sellers without any consequence or adequate reason.

Any business can be taken down at any time, that is why it is almost impossible to trust these sites as a main source of income. It can be taken away from you at any time for any reason.

If one of my competitors decides one day to buy a few items from and claim they were ⊗⊗⊗⊗ along with some claims and negative feedback, you're pretty much done.
