Virtual machine tech assistance

I want to run my stealth accounts using a virtual machine, but when trying to do this they seem to require an OS. I tried to download ISO file of Windows 7 64 bit but the VM is asking for drivers to be installed and saying I need the CD. Do I need to buy a physical copy of an OS to get the VM up and running?

Thanks!

is that VMware? If so, then you must be doing something wrong. VMware has never asked for installing drivers.

Well, I have always used virtualbox and never had an issue with drivers.
I guess you do not have the original installation disk for your main machine OS (the real one non virtual).
Downloading Linux iso is a good option. You only need to browse the internet and usually you do not have to mess with configurations if you have a wireless or ethernet router.

Downloaded Ubuntu and tried to download VMware but the bundle download says I don't have an app on my computer to open the file. Is this the correct site to get the VMware player from https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/free#drivers_tools

Thanks in advance!

Ubuntu doesn't need any driver to install externally, it comes with all necessary drivers.
