What a day on amazon

I have not been really into amazon much over the last couple of years until lately.

I went to Disney over the weekend and cleaned off an entire rack of shelves of an Disney exclusive item.

Total of 78 items purchased.

listed them all this morning and just went back to list some sealed dvds I picked up at the community yard sales Saturday and omg, 48 sold!

At this rate I might sell out and go back to Disney for more hoping they restock.

I have bought tons of Disney items and resold on ebay and very few on amazon but this item has sold like crazy.

I know many of you do very well on amazon so I think I have been missing out due to not enough hours in a day.

for me Disney is like having a wholesale warehouse close by.

I have lots of stock of other Disney items to toss on amazon.

Guess I will be up late doing amazon tonight.

I'm sure you already know be careful when selling any branded stuff. not just of the rights owners but competitors will likely take you down before any rights owner even notices you if you become a threat to their business

i make 10x on amazon as i do on ebay. don't even waste my time with ebay much but keep as should something happen to amazon

Certain items sell better on AZ vs eb and vice versa. Good luck!

I use my original amazon and never an issue.
Disney items are all over amazon. I am listing exclusive Lego items right now that can only be bought at Legoland.

LOL

I have missed the boat for a long time concentrating on ebay and etsy.

Now listing more Lego items and 4 more of these items sold in the last 30 minutes.

Dang, I wish ebay was like this.

Actually thinking of sending a ton of stuff FBA to free up some time.

And to add a bit if items in some categories do sell well on amazon, the volume is so high ,it will drive you crazy for the first few months ( in a positive way)

Sandy, this weekend is also a bright one for me on ebay also. I have sold almost triple this weekend vs the past 3 months. Kinda feels like a mini Christmas at my house. Had to stop off at Walmart to buy more tape.

I know people who have read this thread are 95% searching for this hot item for resale ( I'm one of 5% NOT doing it). The OP is starting the war now.

Re: What a day on amazon

I was on holiday in Florida a few weeks ago (Amazing place to live Sandy D)

Made a special trip out of the parks to go to Downtown Disney with a 20% off coupon to buy all our holiday souvenirs and some stock to sell back in the UK.

Was restricted to 3 suitcases and a 60KG luggage allowance, with the money I saved at the Nike and Oakley outlet shops, and the profit from Disney Merchandise I covered 2/3 of the cost of the whole trip!

Going back again for 3 weeks next year, only doing 1 week at Disney so we can see more of Florida. Might scope out some of the thrift stores Sandy D goes to as well (depending on how well that goes down with the rest of the family on vacation)

Re: What a day on amazon

I'm glad you are doing well, but you MUST be careful on Amazon. Competitors are absolutely CUTTHROAT. They create buyer accounts and report you for selling counterfeits, even without ordering from you. Worse, sometimes they will order and then complain to Amazon directly. it makes little difference that your inventory is legitimate.

I would say keep EVERY RECEIPT for your merchandise handy and if there is any question, scan them and send them to Amazon. Of course you want to wait until the situation comes up, but my guess is that it will. If an accusation comes up, the quicker you can send them the information, the better off you will be.

Disney items are among the most counterfeited in the world - not just the DVD's, but nearly everything. This has caused me to shy away from selling Disney ANYTHING on Amazon. But if you can navigate this, there are some serious profits there.

I'm NOT trying to discourage you, I'm just trying to give you an FYI about the competition on Amazon. I sell a lot of lower priced generic items on Amazon, but I always attach my own pictures and UPC Codes to prevent the competition from trying to get me booted. It sucks that it has to be this way, but some sellers on Amazon are downright NASTY!

You are 100% correct, in this way ebay is much better ... Most of the times sellers there mind their own business but on amazon selling on same listings make things worst...

That's pretty cool about your Disney and Lego items Sandy...but when you buy them at Disney and Legoland, aren't the prices a bit inflated on the items? Just wondering

LOL.....

what a daft question to ask Sandy.

Stinks of patronizing.

Since when would Sandy EVER overpay for an item to onsell.

:FF:

Really rsot?

These items are EXCLUSIVE TO DISNEY AND LEGOLAND.

You cannot buy them anywhere else. How many times have you been to either one of these places?

Why not piggyback off the backs of Disney? The hottest item in the world going right now is making me a killing and every time I go to Disney I clean the shelf off. They only put out so many of several items at a time and since I am close I have been going 2-3 times a week to get these items.

Also, you can sell anything Disney kitchen. People fly into Orlando to go to Disney and cannot take items home on the plane so they want them and buy them once they see them at the Park.

LMAO- I sell Disney toys for kids by the box fulls. Mom and Dad cannot buy a ton of items if they are on a plane and go home and look on ebay or amazon to find it for their kid.

As you stated in the past you have not been to Disney World for years and neither has many other people. Certain collectibles are sold only at Disney Parks and you and other cannot get them.

Without giving away my exact product, lets say this.

Legoland exclusive only. Paid 49.99 plus tax for this item. Sold on Amazon for 129.99.

Disney World exclusive baseball cap with torn design look and a certain logo on it, buy at Disney for 14.99 and sell on ebay for 29.99 over and over.

Disney World exclusive item. Only can be purchased at the two parks.
Purchased 78 of these items at 24.99 each. Took them all off the shelves.

Woke up this morning to 11 more sold. Almost sold out in 2 days.

74.99 sold price.

Now to teach you how things are done and what you do not know.

Disney has what is called a STAR WARS WEEKEND. Exclusive limited edition items only can be purchased on that weekend at Disney. Now if you are a Star Wars collector you will want some of these limited edition items.

Without giving away the product, and I did not mention these yet, we made 4 trips to the van over the weekend with nothing by NUMBERED and LIMITED EDITION Star Wars weekend items.

Think outside the box. LOL I buy retail items all of the time right in the stores and re sell for crazy profits.

Another hint. There is a candy made exclusive to Florida and I sell 5-6 boxes of this candy every single day as people who come to Florida and leave cannot get it again as they do not ship. I purchase it by the case.

I have not tried it on Amazon yet but if time permits I will.

Also dont forget I am close to the Lego mega store at Downtown Disney. Exclusive items to this store only come in and people go crazy over the certain items. I was late for this one but was able to buy 6 of these 199.99 certain Lego items. I have sold 4 of them for 349.99 on ebay so far. I missed one day of being able to get far more.

Think outside of the box rsot. See a need, fill the need. Keep up with the trending popular items right now and you will understand.

Question for you rsot--- What is the most popular item/thing going today?

Re: What a day on amazon

Rsot, is there a Toys R Us close to you?

There is many product in that store you can make money on.

Look for brown tagged items on sale.

Right now there is a particular toy you can buy at RETAIL PRICE and sell on ebay or amazon for triple your money.

Exactly.

People like you are limited to luggage. So I sell to many like you who want items from Disney, Universal, Epcot, Legoland etc.

Florida is full of thrift stores.

LOL

You gave away my secret. I hit the Nike outlet store at least once a week. I resell Jordons by the cases full.

Oakley I cannot make much off of but I am sure you can in the UK.

We also have a Converse clearance outlet like the Nike one close by.
