Help getting around newly restricted categories!
 

…and the list of restricted categories just keeps growing.

All of BEAUTY is now restricted for non-approved sellers!

Even with proper wholesale supplier documentation, most people are still getting denied approval.

Any tips on a way to easily get approved

Having same issue. Have 100's bar soap and cannot get approved..what the heck is that about? why have sellers apply and deny them with proper documents and products..baffling! any methods on approval to share? thanks

Probably amazon shutting as many out as possible so they can sell the items themselves.

I'm new here but the more I read the more I wonder if I really want to get back on AZ at all.

Like ebay they are eliminating small time sellers.

Thank goodness I am grandfathered on my original Amazon account for all categories.

I was just trying out the new Amazon sellers account 3 weeks ago and just randomly scanned in a couple items into inventory one being one Visine

I received an email saying that Visine is a restricted category and under prescription drugs

Look at the platform you are using.

Look at what amazon appears to favor.

Make the adjustment to how you sell.

Think outside the box.

Amazon constantly changes their lists - it is a tough marketplace.

Start exploring other options...own website perhaps. Ring up Amazon and perhaps discuss how to submit documentation.

You must not have experience in Amazon.

You dont call them to ask them this question.

Your account has a section to send a request for your category.

They review your request.

Then send you what they need sent to them for that category.

Calling them wont do diddly.

Thanks for all the replies but I still haven't found a way to get around this! ALL of health and beauty is getting RESTRICTED! :doh:

I am completely out of options with Amazon. I have legit documentation that was rejected! :mad2:

I'm pretty sure WHY Amazon is doing this, but do any of you have any real answers on how to get around this?

There isn't a way around, besides presenting them your business plan with the proper documents

And than even if you have everything they still make the decision

There is no tricks just business

Their business is a trick. Guess I have no other options since I presented a solid business plan, with proper/legit documentation/supplier info and got the rejected hand. :doh:

Keep in mind some of your items may have IP rights attached as well.

amazon might perceive no need to cater to other sellers regardless of documentation.

Did, you have written permission from the company , you need to be an Authorized Seller

I'm in the same boat here, most of our items are either beauty or home and personal care.

Just thinking out loud. Try sideways intro by finding (or having) supplier that will give you letter for authorized seller which could open up the whole category.

Sell on another AZ platform the same items that the U.S. won't allow.

Pray, cry, pray some more. :hail: :eek:

Yes, of course. That's what proper documentation means, does it not?

I've tried with 3 different suppliers and all have been rejected. If you know of a supplier that they are letting us in with on a regular basis, please, please pm the details to me. The "sideways intro" seems to be the only thing I can think of as well. Just a matter of getting the right supplier or right person to review your documentation (the latter is pure luck). :juggle:
