"Review of Your Amazon Account"

Just posting this up here, will get back to this in a couple of hours. I sold just three items, 2 DVDs and a paperback book. The account was live for over a month and haven't sold an item in the past 2-3 weeks. Was just limited today.

Any early thoughts? Busy right now, but I'll come back and do some theories on this shortly.

Probably an account that's finished, yes? Has the AMZN code been cracked yet?

Are you sure that Mail came from Amazon directly ? Is it also in your Notifications section in your account ? That Mail sounds a bit suspicious to me...

The only Fernando Gonzales I could find was a retired tennis player:

Fernando González - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think the part with "Amaz0n.com" might give it away, as "0" should really be a "o"

Seriously, please do not reply to them. Check you Amazon account directly and report back...

Is fernando gonzales the name you gave amazon ? or is it just made up ? I found some other Mails like yours on the internet, however, I can't tell wether they are genuine or not.

That, I am 98% sure, is a phishing email.

If it is not in your AZ acct under messages, then it is not real.

You can also email AZ to find where to forward it to them to validate it.

The other thing to check is to right click on email, go to properties, and see the email address it was originally sent from.

That is not from amazon. Amazon will not accept faxes. Everything is via secure mail. Is there a message in seller central.

Re: "Review of Your Amazon Account"

In the Amazon Seller Forums, someone recieved the same message.

However, what he says they really suspended his Account ...

Furthermore, the FAX is within the US and it is very similar to other Numbers they have.

At least some Amazon Numbers start with +1 206-922-XXXX

That <0> in the Amaz0n....kind of gives it away

I meant to reply sooner, but time wouldn't allow.

This email came directly from amzn and it's in my notification center as well. I just changed the "amaz0n.com" in the quotes, it's just a habit of mine.

Fernando Gonzales is a ghost name lol not a convicted felon trying to go square.

Re: "Review of Your Amazon Account"

From what I gather, it seems to be a soft review and sending any images that CS can just glance at and verify your ID, is sufficient. Sort of like how PP verifies invoices. What are your thoughts?

Account is in good standing? Stealth? Get creative

Account was is good standing prior to the random review.

After some thought, another hypothesis is that the bank account name that I used differs from the name on the account. This *may* be the reason for the seemingly random review. None of my other 4 accounts has experienced this yet and the key difference is this. I'm just going to let this one go away see if there's any movement in the other 3 and continue to sell slowly on them with bank names associated directly with the AZ account names (the 4th is non-stealth and is good standing).

Re: "Review of Your Amazon Account"

So the bank account name was not fernando gonzales but your real name ?

So no mismatched name for the bank account ?

It would be plausible to ask for such data when names are mismatched and the transfer is declined.
But taking this step just because the account owner's name and the bank account name are different ... that's nasty.

Had different names on my accounts in the last 1 1/2 years and never got such a message (thank god). Only selling in the EU though ...

So what are you going to do ? Send them a Fernando Gonzales ID and utility bill ?

That's the only difference that account has from my others and it's also the only one that has been sent this type of a message. I'm just gonna throw it to the wolves.

On another account, it's pending the seller review, the one we are all familiar with. Don't need to verify anything, they're just verifying the account. If that one passes, I'll be a happy camper.

Still learning AMZN ways...

Did you fax stuff ? Let us know what the outcome is. I got same email on my account too.

Re: "Review of Your Amazon Account"

Strange ... can you still list items ? Do you still get payouts ?

I mean, the message suggests you can't "access" your account.

However, if you can get to your notification center you actually can, don't you ?

Did they send you a new message when the 14 days were over ?

I think that's important for the whole community, as it can hit anyone out of the blue and if you can't provide documents they may just block your account (and its funds !!!) for forever.

Yep, they suspend your account until you verify the info. I chose not to send anything and just let it go away.

Just got this kind message from AMZN regarding the one that was under review (not the one that asked for ID). Not sure why they decided against me, I had sold about 5-6 items on the account and shipped in an timely manner. All of the items were different things I had laying around the house (like a normal seller would). No bad feedback, etc.

Completely in the dark here. Any theories?

Hello from Amazon.

We are writing to let you know we have removed your selling privileges, canceled your listings, and placed a temporary hold on any funds in your seller account. Any new selling accounts you open will be closed.

We took this action because your seller account failed our seller account review process.

Per the terms of the selling agreement you entered into with Amazon Services, we reserve the right to limit or remove selling privileges as we deem appropriate.

We encourage you to take appropriate steps to resolve any pending orders. Note that any amounts paid as a result of A-to-z Guarantee claims and chargebacks may be deducted from your seller account.

After 90 days, the hold will be removed and any remaining funds will be available per your settlement schedule. In addition, balance and settlement information will be available in the Payments section of your seller account. If you have questions about these funds, please write to payments-funds@amazon.com.

If you would like to appeal this decision, please visit the Notifications page in the Performance section of your account, find this message in the list of notifications, and click the Appeal button (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/...fications.html).

Regards,

Seller Performance Team
