New Seller Accounts Repeatedly Close
 

Hey Guys,

I am very familiar with the process of opening new stealth accounts on Amazon (I already have the Amazon Ghost and have read through it thoroughly and have applied the same principle to eBay).

Lately I have been running into an issue of Amazon closing my accounts upon attempting to list certain items (posters). Generally my account is being closed within a couple of hours of listing my items (I do bulk upload thousands of posters via Excel). I am certain it is not any one particular item since I have sold the same items on earlier accounts for years.

For reference, I receive the "your account has been closed for selling unauthorized items..." message. Each time I upload through Excel, I make sure to change the quantity, I delete the Listing ID, I change each Item Sku, and I modify the Item Note. Is there anything else I am missing?

Are you sure you dont need permission to sell these items??

Same ebay principles do not entirely apply to amazon.

You need to be even more careful.

Selling the same item is enough to flag accounts.

It is good that you change all the info like SKU, ID, Price and all.

But one thing stays the same and that is the ASIN.

Amazon recognizes that you list exactly the same ASINs as before and will close down you account immediately.

Therefore you must trick the system.

List some other Items you do not intend to sell to "hide" your old items from the system.
Maintain a ratio of at least 50:50 (some also say at least 57,xx % new items) of items you had before and Items that are new.

Set the price for the new items so high, that noone will buy.
It MIGHT also be enough to list them with quanitiy 0, so noone can buy them.

I listed a pack of plain coffe pads for 140 Euros once (normal price ~8 Euros) and SOMEONE ACTUALLY BOUGHT THEM Oo. Buyer didn't even complain after shipping ... :lol: )

Thanks for the quick replies. I should have clarified, I have used both eBay & Amazon Ghost and utilize aspects of their principles on both...

Interesting about adding additional items. I have tens of thousands of inventory so I would need quite a bit of ASINs. Does anyone have a list (figured I might as well ask) or know of a free way to obtain ASINs?

Are you sure that it is the Amazon system shutting down your account?

It could be someone (a competitor or VERO rights owner) reporting your listings.

Forget the all the above, basically it says it all in the e mail that you are selling unauthorised product. So in your excel sheet you are attempting to list products that you are unauthorised to sell. If the account was linked to another account you would get the message suspended due to linking or similar. Over the years copyright holders change, amazon actually hold a lot of rights now on published material, so maybe amazon own the rights of some of the posters.
