Amazon Restricted Item Question

I have several GENUINE, Rosetta Stone sets I am looking to sell. They are a restricted item on Amazon as Rosetta is very very restrictive on who can sell their products.

I've never used FBA before, but could this be done with items such as this?

I of course attempted eBay and they requested the item be removed and gave me a contact number for Rosetta Stones department that made the request. Rosetta Stone states no one is allowed to resell there language sets period. The rep went on to say when you install the software and agree to the license agreement, you are/have agreed to not resell the product. I tried explaining to the idiot that these have never been installed/activated, therefore I am not bound by the license agreement, and he just kept telling me I can not sell it.

After having him verify the Activated ID on the Registration Card, he verified they were indeed new, Genuine, and never activated, he said being they were not purchased directly from them they were unable to offer any support, and wouldn't answer anymore of my questions.

Definitely one of the lousiest businesses I have dealt with. Sorry for the rant, but back to my original question.

Can I use FBA for this item, or will it not even give me the option?

Thanks!

It will most likely NOT give you that option. In order to qualify for FBA in certain categories you must be approved first.

if you can't list if you won't even have the option to use fba. I suggest you look on amazon for seller made listings and list it against those. thats the only way.

Also possibly - only time will tell if the suspension kicks in

Side note OP: which language selection?

Since the item is Rosetta Stone, you are going to have little to no chance to sell it.

It is one of the most highly policed VeRo items on the different ecommerce platforms.

Be so careful of what you consider doing.

Your account will be at grave risk, otherwise.

Re: Amazon Restricted Item Question

I have them on Craigslist, however its not generating much if any interest, especially with all the idiots selling knockoffs.

I have 3 English (American), 1 Japanese, and 3 French.

I just find it funny eBay allows them to bully them into removing listings.

I never accepted the license agreement, therefore how am I bound by it?

With the First Sale Doctrine courting ruling, things will be changing eventually.

Oh well, I can sit on them for a while till someone bits on Craigslist.
