More BS from Amazon blocking your listings from bot keyword harvesting
 

So I had some Amazon customer email me twenty times and ask a ton of questions about whether my software is authentic, and quoting a bunch of stuff from Microsoft's site about spotting counterfeits. I took care of her concerns, etc.

Imagine my surprise when the next day, I receive a email from Seller Performance stating that very listing is being blocked because they have received "customer complaints" about its authenticity.

Now, of course, when you read between the lines, "customer complaints" means Amazon had their automatic bots spot a forbidden word in your emails and probably automatically blocked the listing based on that frivolous proof.

I sent an email off explaining, but we will see if they even bother straightening it out. Yes, in the past (years ago), Seller Performance would take care of it, but who knows anymore.

What colour is the shading on your listing where it says its booked.

If its light brown you can re-list the item.

No Micky, I know that type of block, where they found something in the listing description they didn't like. Here, they said "you may no longer list them on Amazon.com".

They started that in media & software months ago.

What was OK one day, failed the next.

They've been doing it even longer if you were already under the radar, but this is new, how ridiculous.

They said that to me on some US listings recently, sent a message to Seller Performance and they said I can relist as its shaded light brown, did it and selling again...

Yeah I haven't heard back from them yet, I asked the buyer to message them and clarify that she was asking questions and not accusing me.

seller performance probably forward your request to the other department. i forgot what they call it but they are the ones they allow you to sell certain items if its blocked.

Well, they blocked it on the mistaken notion that a buyer had accused me of selling counterfeits, I just hope whoever handles this actually READS the messages between the buyer and me.

Amazon, the place where if you write "not counterfeit" in your listing, it is blocked for being counterfeit.

on amazon its all about proper phrasing. not counterfeit replace that with authentic and you are good to go

That's true, I would never say "not counterfeit" in a listing, but when they are reading emails and speculating freely based on that, it gets a little harder to operate.

you will come to realize that amazon just seem to bundle all messages together and have it all sorted by one bot. Its the same thing with feedback, product reviews and other stuff related to an item that a customer leaves a comment on.

Did they block the listing from you and you are unable to unblock it to re-list the item?

Oh I already knew that. It's been like this for years but I would say recently it got worse; now they are looking at buyer-seller messages too, like questions from prospective buyers.

It does in fact say "unblock" in the inventory manager, but I do not plan to do that until I sort it out, considering that they say "you may not list", which is not something I've been told before when they blocked a listing. Luckily, this was the last unit I had anyway for now.

If it was a permanent block, you would not have the option to unblock.

The real question is, did a thug from Seller Performance look at the ticket, allow the listing to be unblocked, but not reply to me?

Quite possible, amazon will not waste time writing back to you.

Just in case I'm going to wait till Monday then write another email. Not like I have more of this particular item at the moment anyway.

You write to them within seller central via help? If so you have a case number, is the case closed or waiting for further action. If closed read the comments

just try to re-list it. if you can wait for a reply for seller performance.

I emailed the seller performance email directly from my registered email. I always did that Micky, where would I go within Seller Central?

And yes, I can wait, since I don't have any more of this item and won't for a while. This is a solid account that's been up for almost 3 years and I'd rather be safe than sorry.
