logging onto friends accounts
 

I'm new the board & the more I read the more worried I get.

I have a Amazon account in good standing and so does my friend.
we live in the same town but two addresses and accounts, not related just friends.

3 weeks ago he went out of town for vacation and I handled his printing, picking & packing his orders. In turn he is planning on doing it for me in December.

I've logged onto my account from my address and his address & he's done the same as well as logged into each others accounts. To give each other tips or show listing or help with complaints and as I said print orders.

From other postings it sounds like a bot might pick that up and red flag it and tie up both accounts??? Is this something to worry about??

We have done nothing wrong ,but I saw others have two accounts and had trouble. the other concern was if one of us gets into any trouble will we both be screwed because the accounts are linked?

Is the damage done or can we change isp numbers or something?

Is it nothing to worry about if we stop doing it?
since it hasn't been flagged will that help? no future log ons.

Firstly you have a chance of getting linked and suspended.

Do you sell similar items?

If not then I would guess you will be OK as long as you are not doing this everyday. Amazon do realise people help each other and its not a crime to do what you are doing.

yes we both sell books. I'm just going to stop doing it and as time goes by it should be safer.

I found on another site that if you log in on Google chrome you'll be safe some how, anyone hear of that?

I didn't know if I needed to do that or change isp number each time, I am not tech savvy and just don't understand it.

Basically the google chrome info is rubbish information. The IP is the tracer for amazon. If you both sell the same titles you will be linked and suspended. Just do you own thing and if you are away put your account on holiday settings

Can you not use Team Viewer on his PC when he is away and vice versa so that you keep everything separate?

Logmein also works well for remote login

Logmein is no longer free anymore :(
