"We haven't seen you using this device before."
 
I use Aman Pro to process my orders and upload new inventory. Today after running for a year with no issues, I get a message from Amazon through Aman that "We haven't seen you using this device before. To help help protect your account, we just want to make sure its really you." They're now asking for the zip code attached to the debit card on file. I used a VCC and never received any info for it other than the card number, expiration date, and security code. Any advice?

Where did you got your VCC from? Do you have the actual card?

If the card worked the first time the billing zip would be the zip on the az account

Keep an active VCC at all times with a balance that can handle a test charge

@tonyalmeida I purchased it from a seller on here that hasn't been on for a while.

@danshan There's no billing address listed in the settings section where the credit card info is listed.

My concern is that the zip code i asked to be applied to the vcc, was never applied to it. Is that even possible? Can a vcc be created without billing address info?

I'm not an expert, but would it make sense as a last resort to attach a new VCC with the zip code from stealth address that you have registered on file ?

you might tr a new vcc but try checking your pms with the seller.a lot of sellers here ask for a zipcode to register the vcc you might find it
also try the zipcode that is on your personal details in account info section of amazon

Sigh...AmanPro.. Businesses who offer this kind of service who are actually on top of their sh*t, would not have you running into this problem. I remember looking into AmanPro a while back and when I saw that website straight out of the 90's I immediately went elsewhere.

Btw, I would put in new CC info with a workable zip. It makes sense to put in new info if you're worried about your own security. Some people may actually want a more updated credit card on file that they trust, etc., it is plausible.

@metatrade I can try a new vcc and zip code as a last resort, assuming that if/when I try the zip code under my personal information I'm not immediately suspended.

@alim Checked the pm's and I mentioned "Please attach the address below if necessary". The problem is I was never told if it was necessary or used. Definitely something I should have asked at the time. Smh

I have seen this message a few times and all I did was enter the post code (or in your case zip code) associated with the set-up of the account and it went through fine. You should have all this information saved in Excel, etc...

For me, it was nothing to do with if the card had funds on it, as my cards always have funds on them at all times, so maybe it could have just been a security check by Amz...

Not seen this message in a very long time, but it can be scary when it first comes up.

Yeah you shoult totally write down the ZIP code you gave them (another thing the book lacks !).

I have several accounts and cant access them cuz I dont know the ZIP code....
