Amazon UK Request Transfer Now

I'm new to Amazon, and was wondering if it's safe to use the "Request Transfer Now" button. Currently it says I will be paid in 3 weeks time, which is a pain to wait, but usually I would wait. However, i'm leaving the country for a month the day before i'm due to be paid and if any issues arrive, would rather deal with them now than when i'm on the other side of the world on a crappy internet and laptop.

This isn't a stealth account and currently have 15 sales with no feedback (i'm aware I shouldn't consider doing this, but being as it's real details verified with a passport i'm wondering if it's okay)

If my account went into "review" (not sure what they do on Amazon) what information would they require from me? I can get anything they ask for apart from invoices, but my items are sold as used, so i'm guessing they would not ask (or will they?). I have never been asked on eBay, and i'm selling the same products.

So far Amazon has been awesome, and i'm kicking myself for not using it sooner as I have only listed a few things and sold well.

Just looking for some advice on do's and don'ts. Please remember this my real info and not stealth, so any verification is fine provided it's not invoices. My products are sound and have had no returns/bad feedback on eBay after selling 100s or possibly close to 1000s.

The balance is £100-150, not looking to withdraw it all, just a bit to test. I would rather come into issues now, that to sell more, and get money stuck which I can't do anything about because i'm not able to access documents they required.

The main issue would be them asking for identification which you have already done. I've not seen any proof but the fact they allow you to request a disbursement would suggest that these accounts are safer than the old stealth ones although don't take the pi@@

I would personally leave the money in the account and wait for the dispersment. As the only problem you are likely to run into is them putting your account into review and there is not much you can do about that anyway, other than wait it out.

But I don't see any problems either way with the amount of money you said. That is unless you are selling in a very high risk category.

Thank you for the reply. I will wait a while longer anyway and perhaps wait for some feedback to come in (i sent a card with each order asking to leave feedback so I know the order reached them fine, although it was worded a bit differently), as I didn't send my items with tracking (low value).

Would you classify your items as risky? Sales-wise I mean

If you have an established account or good feedback, it is ok to do a manual withdrawal.

If you have a new account with low feedback and do a manual withdrawal your account will go into review.

Slow and steady wins the race with Amazon!

the account is fairly new and hasnt recently been reviewed or after creation of account it hasnt been reviewed then it might trigger a review when you go for the manual disbursement

I have new and old UK verified accounts. I use this request transfer option every other day on all accounts and all 5 platforms and not had any issues. THIS IS WHY THE BUTTON IS THERE, to get your money.

Re: Amazon UK Request Transfer Now

I thought I will risk it since i'm not bothered either way, and i'm sure I would pass any information they would require. I pressed the button and now it says my next transfer is in 6 days instead of 20. I guess they want to wait and see if any of my orders have issues first, which seems reasonable.

I'll let you know what happens when it's due just for anyone searching for the thread in the future.

The transfer should be immediate and say funds will be in your account in 3 days.

After pressing the button it disappeared completely and now the date has changed from 19th to the 3rd (rough dates not exactly what it is)

My account is very new, and no feedback, could that be why it's done that?

Possibly also related to cycle of disbursement + the account being so new

It looks like your account is in some kind of review. Is this a pro account?

Basic account. I now have some feedback too, so I will wait until the payment date, if everything is fine I will continue to sell.

Re: Amazon UK Request Transfer Now

Looks like they will hold the money until the account is 14 days old. Then start releasing it week by week. What is the limit I should sell too in the first month? Is their a limit of what I should get in my balance.

Re: Amazon UK Request Transfer Now

There are no known limits, however the figure £750 is often suggested. The basic thing with amazon is keeping all your metrics green, chase customers for feedback and go slowly. It is now August, work this account well and you should be full speed in November and December.

Fair enough approach
