Buyer on hold for verification
 

All of a sudden after 8 years of buying from amazon the put my buyer account on hold for address verification. I sent them everything they ask for and I still get an email saying I haven't given them what they want. So after trying 10 times I even sent a picture of myself infront of my house holding the credit card and my drivers license but they still send the same response. At this point I'm over trying to get my buyer account back I just want to know what's going to happen with my trade in credit. Any ideas?

Did the message just come out of the blue? Can you think of any reason why this happened, like buying certain items or anything?

Someone may have compromised your account in some fashion and Amz got worried. More information needed for better answer I think.

Nobody will know the answer only amazon. Do you drop ship, use prime,return excessive goods, these could be some of the reasons.

Are there other members with Amazon accounts in your household?

Have you done any A to Z claims as a buyer and, if so, how many?

Initial questions to consider.

How much trade in credit do you have? Amazon is notorious for holding $...ugh

My trade-in credit is about $800 which sucks but no I didn't purchase anything out of the ordinary. Filled an A to Z claim once in 8 years. It's really strange because all they are requesting is my bank account statement with my address and I keep sending it but they always send me the same email saying I didn't send them what they asked for.

Like rsot asked, do you have anyone else that lives in your house that has a amazon account? Or in your apartment?

No one in my house has an amazon account except me. When I can them they tell me it's just to verify your address associated with my card. So I give them the information they send it off I get an email saying fax us your statement. I fax them the statement and they email me back saying we need more information send us your billing statement. So at this point I've just been going in circles.

Amazon is kind of like this - circles when they don't want your business...

AMZ has beefed-up such security measurements for the opening of new Buyer accts and old, as well in order to combat/slow down return fraud/INR

Have you ever sold on the account? Or is it strictly a buying account?

If it's just a buying account, there must have been something done that raised red flags. How much were you trading in? And what were you trading in?
