Gamefreak - you came off pretty strong as a bashing type of a comment. Don't worry I could careless. I just read roll my eyes, and kinda laugh and move on to the next thread. :)
I'm in a large niche of a competition. As long as I make a few $1000's like the rest I'm fine with it. I plan on moving into other products cause nothing is forever and just waiting for my time to pass to move on to a larger project. |

Make a stealth account.
Avoid using your real info in case the account gets zapped.
Make sure you KNOW before that amazon deletes account without correspondence.
Please ensure you know these nasties up front.
Just my .2cents

Re: The noob :) A few questions. There are certainly risks with amazon but if the product works on amazon the sales will be crazy. Will easily overshadow ebay depending on the category of the product.
For the risk factors you may want to start slow with FBA since there are costs associated with it if the account closes but its a good way to build feedbacks and sell fast. You can also sell both FBA and sell the usual pro merchant.
though not related to the topic but if you see your sales picking up fairly well and you see potential in amazon then it would be prudent to open a few accounts in the beginning even if you take it slow. That way you can build up the accounts and they are old enough and will have passed 1 review atleast by the time the holiday season gets fast. That way you can capitalize on the season |

Anyhow, I thought you only worked 8hrs a week on your eBay, it was easy and you were giving it all up next year anyhow? What makes you fed up with eBay? :smash: |

I don't need this money I get from ebay at all. I just do it not to touch my savings for another 15 months until my next project. Then am out. I'd have to be making $15k profits per month in order to stay here if I make less then not worth doing online no more. I'll try my best and push for it until the very end. Because you never know. I got really fed up with ebays lies on the phone and a customer last week. I know it was my first time in 4 years but this kind of stuff just makes me wanna say "screw it".
Just sick of the people in my category selling phakes and lying to customers and customers just wanna save a buck so they directly go to them with their ridiculous offers. I could just cut back and source everything cheaper and lower grade and do the same. But not my style. |
| Geegee83 | 08-30-2014 05:44 PM | Re: The noob :) A few questions. Riiiighhht, clear as mud, thanks. |
| GhostWhoWalks | 08-30-2014 06:05 PM | Re: The noob :) A few questions. And I don't ship my own stuff my family member in the USA does for me. So I don't deal with shipping and packaging.
If I was to sell lower grade stuff, I'd make money as my competition. But then my product would be phake.
So no idea what you mean by "Riiiighhht, clear as mud, thanks." I only relist daily for 10-15 minutes. All I do is relist my items and take in orders. Only takes about a minute to do one to upload to my site. What else is there to do??? IT took me a while to set it up like that. |

I made up my mind. I'm switching over to Amazon and starting my own website and got a plan to get traffic to it. And starting with newer products also. And this is perfect.
I will start selling and send buyers to my site or facebook page. This will be repeat business product for sure. I know this works. Ebay can't be forever so many websites in this world that don't rely on ebay at all.
I got pissed off this month cause of 1 transaction, and it's like no respect. So if no respect I take my business else were. :ranger: |

| GhostWhoWalks | 09-01-2014 09:27 AM | Re: The noob :) A few questions. Yeah looking at a newer product over the weekend.
I will def build a website up and start selling on amazon within the next 90 to 120 days. I want to focus on a newer product line. I already got my plans drawn out in my head. I really like the sound of this FBA. I love the idea of it. |

Also how much does this cost per month as a service? Directly from Amazon? |

| Dmshark25 | 09-01-2014 01:20 PM | Re: The noob :) A few questions. It shows your sales but the traffic of that listing
There's a nice business report breakdown you get with pro merchant
It's 39.99 a month and it cleaned up the mess of my payment schedule, before I was getting paid a month later and I would see all 3 disbursement dates and the amounts, and after ever sale the numbers would change usually pushing the sales to the last date
One of the reasons I focused on eBay more
But with pro merchant the first week pulled all disbursements together and paid out, and now it's every 2 weeks, so I know exactly when I'm getting paid unlike before |
