Default Amazon Spain Account Suspension

Hi,

I have been selling on Amazon EU for past four years. I have been doing very well on Amazon UK, Germany and France.

I decided to sell on Amazon Spain 3 months ago but was able to make limited success as number of categories we sell under were not available.

We started selling few products but it seems that Spains postal system is not as good as other countries or we can say we didn't understood market well as we should have used postage proof right from start rather than using standard delivery. Our account got suspended due to 2 negative feedbacks due to postage issues 2 months ago (low level of sales meant that even with 2 negative feedbacks rating became 'poor'). We appealed and account got restored.

We were not able to sell much during last two months. We started sending goods with postage proof this time however 1 negative feedback and 1 A-Z claim again put account in red as 'poor' again due to customer complaining about post. In both cases we reimbursed buyers fully. They have suspended account again. We appealed but they are not restoring account this time. We went back to them asking if we can discuss over phone but they are not interested. This is the reply we received (translated from Spanish) 'Greetings from Amazon.
After a review of your account by a Specialist Account, we have decided that selling privileges will not be restored.
Please note that there is no telephone support for this department.
We regret not being able to provide further information relating to this situation. Future inquiries regarding the revocation of his privileges sale may not be answered'.


My question is that is it worth going back to them with a detailed action plan? On hind sight we do not want to continue selling on Amazon Spain as it doesn't offer product categories we sell in but will this suspension affect my other seller places where we are doing very well? There is no issue with any other seller places and rating is consistently 'good'. Also will Amazon Spain review suspension after few weeks/ months and reconsider there decison restoring account themselves. I just wanted to see what other people think and what are there experiences.

Your other accounts in seller central should be OK as you been only suspended for poor selling performance and if the other accounts are all in the green on the metrics don't worry. You have not been suspended for selling counterfeit etc.
Spain is a very difficult market, it is the worst of the 5. I would also avoid Italy as you will get similar problems as both markets don't appear to have the same postal infrastructure as France De and UK.

Amazon is quite critical on their seller analysis - 1 neg feedback and A-to-Z claim...with red status...the Spain seller account is likely done.

You can appeal but unlikely to win

You answered your own question then. Pay attention to Micky H's help. He is active in these markets.

If it is not worth the hassle ( & Spain amazon has so many issues), the concentrate on the markets that are serving you well.

Hello,

Postal services not work so good, however couriers services like SEUR, Correos Express, UPS have 24hours guaranteed delivery at 95% of Spain.

SEUR added this year a new service named SEUR Predict that send you a SMS or email with a range of hours that your order will be delivered, usually its 2 hours, but its reducing it to 1hour in big cities like Madrid or Barcelona.
