VPS and browser fingerprinting

Hello,

Based on replies to a post earlier, I have decided to use a VPS.

However, I still have one major concern: while OS, IP, carrier, etc are not a concern, is "browser fingerprinting" still a concern when using a VPS?

Anyone had issues or experience with this?

Do different VPS's have different fingerprints for their installs of Firefox, for example?

Or do most VPS's simply do a stock install of Firefox? (Or is the install of Firefox left up to the end user of the VPS?)

These plug-ins for Firefox privacy were mentioned on SlashGeek.net:
* Ghostery
* NoScript
* AdBlock Plus
... for additional privacy and anonymity.

Any thoughts on these?

Thanks again in advance for any input.

If you want to know what they can see with "browser fingerprinting" you can go to the following link and check it out for yourself - it will show you what they can see based on your browser:

Browser fingerprinting *can* be an issue whether one uses a VPS, or if using from home, etc.

Look into utilizing portable browsers (stand alone browsers on your PC).

Can you share which VPS service you use and how you set it up?

Thanks!
