New Amazon verification procedures
 

Hi guys,

My account was suspended a year or 2 ago now, i signed up to this forum and followed the procedures to set up a new account, which all went fine, however i eventually stopped trading and left the account in debt so that account was eventually suspended too.

I am now in the process of setting up a new account for a new business but as i have gone through the sign up process it seems that their policies have changed, therefore i am guessing the Amazon Ghost ebook is now updated?

Could someone give me a quick run down of the new procedures? Will i need to provide valid passport information? Is there anything else i need to know?

Just having a quick scan i see that someone mentioned that a passport and utility bill will be required, i don't see how that will be possible if my first amazon account was registered under the same details, surely they will match up?

I opened both accounts ages ago, the first one i forgot the login details for so i opened another one. I logged in to the other one earlier and tried to read a thread but it said i had to be a premium member so i logged into this one, however it seems neither of them are premium even though one of them i used to buy the ebook.

You are not meant to have more than one here.

Your subscription has likley lapsed so that's why you can not read all of the forum.

Ok i will PM him now. Going back to my original post, i understand that you want to avoid posting information on an open forum but im just a bit worried that after setting up a new bank account, buying a pre paid card etc, that ive just wasted my chance to get a new amazon account set up.

Can you just confirm whether it is actually possible to bypass amazons security without having to use my own personal details? If not, i dont think im going to be able to open an account as my personal details are linked to a previously suspended account.

You can not make another account with anything old and related to a suspended account especially with amazon.

Stealth is the option.

This is rather frustrating. I am aware of the techniques used with the ebook i purchased, but i am at a stumbling block if i am required to upload passport or a copy of a utility bill. I have already registered the account under a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and details as i wasnt aware of the new changes, so there is no way i can provide passport and utility bills for ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information.

You will asked to provide passport number initially and later they will ask for a scan copy of your passport and a utility bill. So the account you have created will not be approved. You must I am afraid start again and be creative.

Say you don't have a passport. Will a driving licence suffice.

A driving licence is fine as long as you have a utility bill to verify the address on the DL. This is where a passport is easier to verify

There are some third parties which can check the licence by obtaining data directly from the DVLA.

I am not sure if Amz have this facility or access a third party company who have such a facility. I can not say yes or no for sure.

This company has direct access to the DVLA website and can check legitimate driving licence numbers apparently on a constant basis.

They appear to have a contract with the DVLA, who is supplying the data to them originally.

That is good to hear.

Do you know for sure that they cannot access a third party who has the checking facility though?

There is always more chance of companies being able to check PP numbers but I still don't think they can. Also, driving license no they have no access currently.
