Can't list "new" items?
 

I recently tried listing a product and I just noticed that it won't let me list under "New" condition. Only refurbished and used. I see sellers that sell similar items as mine that have listed under the NEW category.

Anyone have any experience with this? Do I need to contact Amazon for this?

I'm running a clean account.

Yes this is coming more common. What category are you listing. Drop an e mail to amazon through seller central and ask the reason.

Cellphone accessory. I am wondering if I ask them for permission and they ask for an invoice, how long do I have to provide them with one?

Also what would qualify as an approved vendor? Im guessing the factory in China wouldn't cut it.

If the goods are not trademarked then your China supplier would be fine. However request permission and see what they ask for.

Yes branded stuff. I am certain they will ask for invoices from an authorized reseller. Also, how many times do they ask for this invoice? Is it a one time deal? Or do they continuously ask for it?

Amazon can and will review your account many times. Nobody knows the answer to your question sorry.

You are trying to sell in a restricted category that has had many problems with phakes. Amazon uses the "can't sell as new" trick as a easy way to filter out counterfeits, which are almost always listed as new. They started this in software a loooooong time ago and now it is spreading all over due to this method's success.

There is some kind of block on this listing and if it's branded then AZ will ask in most cases to provide paper work before allowing you to sell.

Does anyone have any experience with submitting invoices? For example, if the invoices says 100 pieces, can I list 500?

Also do I get access to just that item listing or to the whole category after I provide an invoice?

Any help would be appreciated.

First list 100 qty if they approve your invoice, then after those sell can list more. Sometimes I've gotten access to more than one items sometimes I haven't it varies.
