Changing router's MAC address?? Is this what the book is talking about?

In page 17 step 4 of Amazon Ghost it says to look for "WAN Mac Address" in the router settings. My router is Cisco Linksys E-3000 there's a section under [Setup] you can click called [Mac Address Clone]. When I click to go to that section it has a selection to enable or disable (it's already enabled), and under that it has the MAC Address where it appears you can edit it. Then the button under that is "Clone my PC's Mac."

I have no idea if this is the section that is what the book is referring too and just different terminology because my brand and model of the router.

Would someone please help me out and let me know?

Thanks in advance

Why are we ignoring the changing of the mac address?

So just to be clear, are you saying that Amazon no longer worries about MAC addresses? I can not seem to get an account open for longer then a week or 2 so now I am getting a 56k modem. Is this a better option and not worry about the MAC address?

No need to worry about the MAC address.

Are you listing the same items on Amazon each time?

Setup a virtual machine for each amazon account. Have a dedicated IP for each VM etc

Read the book and then forget everything you read. It's outdated and has old info. Read the forum

Yes out of date for sure, but the basics are there.

Once I have created some Virtual Machines and have changed IPs for each Virtual Machines, I'll be using the same router/modem, then how this work here?... wanted to ask you about Mac Address, but now I see is not relevant for Amazon, tell me how Virtual Machines work with the same Router or Modem. Thanks.

Please excuse me for disagreeing, but it's not just the basics. There is outdated information in the Ebook that right now is crucial not to follow. For example, using a family members SSN to open a stealth account. Scary, not just about tax complications with the IRS, but destroying a family relationship.

It's time for an updated stealth Ebook. Not to mention it's a good financial decision for Greenbean. ;)

Don't get me wrong. Until a new ebook is available, I do recommended that people buy it and read it. However, I can't stress enough how much you need to read the forum after that to find out what is incorrect.

Now that I think of it, I think it would be great for a seasoned stealth veteran to read the ebook again and then post what is out of date and the change they would recommend. then everyone could put in their 2 cents. This then should be required reading after purchasing and reading the Ebook.

I took a good 3 months of reading the forum until I felt confident to open a stealth account. This length of time was because of the contradictions I found in the Ebook compared to current information. Just my take

For the most part though the stealth books give you the basics. Which is all you need to run a stealth account. It could go in more detail about 2+ accounts etc
