Noob questions - Amazon
 

Just entered amazon and already sold couple of products, now i wonder about couple of things.

1) Payments - Unlike eBay, customers don't have the option not to pay right? so i don't have to wait until the payment verified, i can ship as soon as i see the transaction right?
"all the payments will be transferred in 14 days automatically to my bank account"?

2) Competition - the prices in most of the products much lower then on other platforms so i always need to update my price to keep it the lowest, whats the best time to do that to be more efficient? whats the chances to sell if your price is not the lowest?

3) I'm using my real info, should i go slow or should i start listing hundreds of products? Whats the percentage of scammers compared to eBay? What should i expect from amazon compared to eBay? Any tips will be appreciated.

For your second question - Competition - there is no set answer - you either analyze your niche or get a business consultant to analyze. Tough to judge without knowing category or products in mind.

Start slow and steady. If you start selling 100's of items right off the hop, AZ could shut you down.
Do a steady build-up of listings to create a steady increase of sales. Just like a new store would.

To succeed ion amazon, you need to study in depth all the info written on their site.

find out heaps of stuff there.

Amz can take a while to master successfully. As others have said, just go slow to start off with, so that you learn how the whole process works. No point being swamped with orders until you have the basics learnt correctly.

1. You can ship when Amz give you the order details. You then mark as shipped, upload tracking if you have it and Amz will then add the payment from that order to the balance of your account.

2. Chances of selling if your item is not competitive is almost zero. Price is the key and always has been.

3. Amz can be an absolute beast. Many of us on here have done 6 figures, some a lot more. So it can be even better than eBay.

Very true, if you find a good product and at a cost that keeps you in the game than its Amazing the sales you can make , I made my account over two years ago but focused more on eBay until 3 months ago and wow

Amazon is no Joke, you can make some serious money, and it's nice getting that steady paycheck every two weeks that's one big disbursement

Ebay is really good, but Amazon, you can sell some products for a decent amount more than eBay , and buyers are not as needy as eBay which is a huge plus

I have a product that's popular and comes in many colors, and there is one color that I'm the only one that has had it since August, and it's incredible when you have a hot product on Amazon that no one else has,

1) So Amazon send payments after 2 weeks automatically to my bank account? is it temporary? when the money will be available immediately?

2) Price is everything.

3) Go slow. If im using my real info, should i list 5 a day? 10? 20? how slow?

VERY FEW accounts will be faster that 14 days. Some are more. Most likely will never be immediately. If you sell a lot you could encounter rolling reserves of 30 day average sales.

I list 50+ items right away, but mostly lost leaders to get some feedback. Mostly new books from the dollar store.

I decided to list around 10-30 each week, i think its slow enough for my type of products.

14 days is fair enough but why can't i choose when to send the money? whats the percentage of money they usually keep for reserve? assuming i sold about 1k worth of products, they will keep 200-300 as reserve?

Most likely wont get a reserve selling 1k a month but if you did it would be 1k.

What about the $750 reserves?

OP appears to have no concept of the reviews that are going to hold him up.

Obviously they will hold if i receive az claims.
All i want to know is the percentage of holds. if i got 10,000 balance and i sold 100 products how much they will hold. what amount they will transfer after 14 days?

30 day average sales.

So if you sold $10,000 on average a month, they may hold $10,000 at all times. If that number increases to $30,000 then they may adjust to 30K etc...
