Immediate mismatch of Tax info
 

Well I went through the tax interview and as soon as I finished they said there was a mismatch and I had 30 days to submit the correct information. This was the first time I check marked the box that says "Acquired TIN within the last 60 days", is that why the immediately said the info was a mismatch? Normally I do not check this box and I get the 30 day warning about 3 days later. I just thought it was odd that it would say mismatch the next screen after submitting the info. I doubt that they have instant access to the IRS info or am I wrong?

I believed they have instant access. It happen to me once (more than a year ago). I couldn't create the account until I provide the correct information for my EIN. Don't remember exact the message.

yeah i always get instant 30 days notification

are you check marking the "received TIN in last 60 days box"?

Also, have you had any problems with a mismatched address?

The address should NEVER mismatch, as the IRS does not verify addresses. Amazon COULD use a private provider for that information, but it is doubtful they would have any matches on new businesses.

I would try again in 2 weeks. That is usually how long it takes for your information to get on the official IRS list.

around this time of year amazon DOES NOT let the tax thing slide at all. during the year u can get away with it but not right now.
