jboone733 | 12-09-2014 06:22 PM | User ID or complete system start over?? I have read the many steps on starting over to erase your link to Amazon. If I start a new user on my computer would that solve these issues.. or is a full system reinstall the best way to go? |

zyzz_brah | 12-16-2014 04:16 AM | Re: User ID or complete system start over?? I have three amazon stealth accounts...one running on Raspberry Pi and two running on a VPS (virtual private server)...
frankly i find the VPS option much better because it guarantees me a new IP address and a new "computer" ...i only pay $5 a month for each VPS |

Re: User ID or complete system start over?? New user account should work well also instead of new computer - you on PC or Mac? |
mufc365 | 12-16-2014 06:01 PM | Re: User ID or complete system start over?? Go over the browser fingerprinting step listed in stealth guide if you make a new user account. This can link you.
Download a new browser if you go with the new user account option. But personally a full system reinstall will be like having a new computer. You will only have to worry about the IP address then that is all |
jboone733 | 12-17-2014 08:13 PM | Re: User ID or complete system start over?? Im on MAC which seems to complicate anything. I ended up doing a complete start over and reinstalled Os X. Now Im tied up with phone verification. I really don't want to buy a tracfone.. lameness |

mufc365 | 12-18-2014 06:51 AM | Re: User ID or complete system start over?? @ jboone 733 that's why the stealth guide has a few options for each method. Some things work better for others |

Just like to clarify, if you have an Apple computer that got banned account, all you have to do is create a new user, and change your IP address/VPS/VPN solution and create a new account? And if you wanted to run two new accounts on that Apple, all you have to do is created 2 new users on it and make sure the IP address is different on both?? No need for clean install of OS? |
barrycruan | 01-09-2015 10:11 PM | Re: User ID or complete system start over?? They can't link you with a different user account. Browser fingerprinting by its very nature would be different. From account to account. Not that, that matters as Amazon don't use browser finger printing.
If they did every year when a new iPad comes out and everyone logs into their Amazon account with exactly the same browser fingerprint they'd all get linked.
Plenty of people are simply using a different user on their pc without ever getting any trouble. Myself included. |

That and change the IP address and I'm fine.
i wouldnt recommend people do this though as it's easy to forget. |
Re: User ID or complete system start over?? VMware workstation is by far one of the most convenient ways especially to manage multiple accounts |

Does that mean that I can use my iPhone 6 plus that I used to use on my banned account for my new stealth account? What are the steps/apps I can use/cannot use on it? Can I still use the Amazon Seller app, the email app, and etc assuming that I did a reset on the phone? My understanding was that smart phones cannot be reused ever again, because of their MAC addresses and etc.
Thank you |
alekov | 01-10-2015 10:23 PM | Re: User ID or complete system start over?? VMWare vs 3 different user accounts on the same laptop, running 24vc.com static IP VPN on each user account? What is your opinion, which setup is better? Switching between user accounts on the laptop, do you have to manually change your IP, or does the VPN setup automatically change your IP to the right one when you log into your user account on your Mac laptop? |

Thank you | Amazon can't see your MAC address.
The way iPads and iPhones work is you can only had one application open so that application is the only dats Amazon can access. That and you IP address. If you clear the settings from the web browser this will clear any cookies/flash cookies and once you have changed the IP you are a comletely different user.
Settings>safari>clear website and data
This works for iPhones and iPads using wifi. I'm not certain about links from about accessing Amazon through your cellular connection as it's not something I ever looked into. |

Sounds like going on airplane mode via wifi with different IP would work fine with the same device. I am curious to see if someone understands the cellular connection issues, as I would suspect that even though you have different IP every time you connect, the built in modem will be having some sort of MAC address visible by Amazon and they would be able to link you pretty quick. That's just a guess though, wish someone knew more about that, hate to have to change two brand new $1,000 each iPhone 6 plus :( | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:36 PM. | |
