Selling generic products with logo
 

I see some sellers dong well buying generic products and putting their business logo on it. I know I can't list on there listing. I would like to create my own listing using the same exact product, but with my logo. The problem is that most of the manufactures want minimum order of 1000 + to put a logo on it. Then I would have to create my own listing. How long would this listing take to really get going and get up to the same amount of sales the other guy has with everything equal.

The cost up front is large, but could have a huge payout. Or I could be sitting on it for 6 months.

How do you plan on promoting?
If you are only talking about amazon, does this item have very popular keywords?

buyer the generic and photoshop your logo into the pictures... simple thats what i see other sellers do if u buy their stuff its all the same items but photoshop logos to prevent piggybacking

Designs are still protected, regardless of logo.

@Kelly, so what is keeping you from creating your own product?

Forum is dealing more with stealth account creation...

I thought htis forum was also to share ideas about selling strategies too. A lot of info here is not about stealth

That's true and there are some interesting discussions...but the comments against you seem to come out based on your past posts :(

Some suppliers will put a sticker with your logo in the item or box. They will charge you about .10 or .20 extra per item. This is the way many sellers do it to avoid the high MOQ.
