taxpayer identification information
 

So this is my first stealth...

After filling out the W9 a few questions:

1) what name are you guys signing? I don't want to electronically sign my real name obviously

2) What address are you guys putting? I don't want to put the llc's address since my first llc has the same address (however the IRS does have this address listed in the EIN filing - but I don't want to write it on the w9 for amazon)

3) I keep getting taxpayer id info submitted does not match irs records. I recieved my EIN 2 days ago.

Ok. Assuming you have an ITIN or SSN, you have to use your real name. Don't lie to the IRS, use all real information and sign up as an LLC. If you use an LLC, all PayPal and Amazon can verify is the business name registered. For example, on Amazon, your business name is Junkyard. If your EIN is an LLC, all Amazon (or PayPal) can verify is if the EIN matches the registered business name on your Amazon (or PayPal) account.

You can put what address you would like, but you should probably put the address that is on your Amazon (or PayPal) account on your EIN as well.

Also, since your EIN was made 2 days ago, it won't work. You HAVE to wait at least 2 weeks for it to ripple through the IRS system.

If we sign up for a EIN and select LLC with the IRS, does this mean we have to establish the LLC legally?

During the tax interview, what information can Amazon see? Obviously for the tax info I want to enter my correct information. For the tax interview what should we put in? For address/signature/ect.

My question is, I plan on opening a new EIN with my normal info. But if I use a stealth address will Amazon see that?
