Can I open a new Amazon act under my spouse's name?
 

We moved from one state to another about a year ago and now my new Amazon act got suspended for selling too fast. Fortunately, my spouse still has her old driving lic which has address of her parent's house. I'm thinking about opening a new act under her name and using parent's address with new bank info from that state. Can this be safely done without getting my suspended and new account linked? I'm afraid Amazon can google my name and see my wife's name listed. I've taken care of technical details.

This time around, I want to build my business slowly. I wish I had seen this forum sooner.

you can get linked if you use your spouse last name and IF you sell the same items . Your best bet is go under totally different stealth name and stay away from selling the same item for a month but slowly creep in your old inventory very slowly but try covering it up with other items to totally make your store different and sell some items that your not really selling to make sales unique even if you break even.

You won't he linked just from a last name and you probably wouldn't get linked off of a full name. That would mean only 1 John smith would be allowed to sell on Amazon and if there happened to be 2 both would get linked and suspended.

My concern is if Amazon decides to run background checks, they can easily link my spouse name to mine using public records available online. I can Google my name and see my name & spouse's name within the search result.

When I setup my act, they asked for invoices, my driving lic, bank info etc... If this is the new procedure, I'm not sure how I can setup a stealth act and provide Amazon with valid paperwork.

They don't run background checks. They don't have the time.

I have several accounts all with the same last name and have never been linked

Why do you have to involve your wife's credentials when you can make stealth?

Amazon will link you if,
selling same items
using same bank details, credit card,
cookies
phone number
address
e mail
IP, maybe but doubtful from my experience
They will not link you on surname.
However why use your wife's details, things are more simple.

For time being I need to sell the same items I sold before. I'm looking to expand into other areas but that will take time.

Can you share how can I setup a stealth act without using someone Else's info, when Amazon checks Driving Lic, Bank info and vendor invoices (at least they checked with my previous act).

You don't use someone else's info per say - you use made up info...

Do not use the same address and last names for an additional Amazon account. This is technically not really allowed and could lead to ALL accounts at that address getting suspended.
