Holiday Shipping Lead time
 
What does everyone do with their Holiday shipping?

Obviously in the US there is no mail pickup on Xmas day or New Years Day.

Does Amazon account for this shipping delay?

I do not want anyone to place an order and have the expected ship date on Xmas day when it will not ship...

You don't have to worry Amazon take this into the account and the estimated delivery time is a little longer as well as expected dispatch date.

I have to admit the op about "I do not want anyone to place an order and have the expected ship date on Xmas day when it will not ship" did make me laugh.

Everyone's tucking into their mince pies and turkeys at this time

Just had an order placed standard shipping, Amazon said it had to be dropped off by 24th but estimated delivery was December 30th to January 15th.
