In Windows you are able to edit EXIF data by right-clicking on an image and going into the image properties. I haven't tried to do this on Mac but I'm sure you can. Just try going into the properties for the JPEG you are trying to modify.

A quick search on google for: 'delete jpeg meta data Mac Osx' recommended:

EXIF data is really easy to remove with the help of ImageOptim, a free Mac tool ......(blah blah blah)..... In that process of optimizing a photo, ImageOptim also strips EXIF data from the picture.

Maybe try that. :)
